On March 31st I received a text that Mt View tech would be at my home on April 1 to spray. I called and said I would arrive that a.m. to unlock gate. When I arrived they had placed a flag and note that they were there. I called tech, he said he jumped the fence to spray. I asked about ground spray for weeds, he said since ***** would be back later in week as temperatures would be warmer. About 1.5 weeks later, I arrived at the home again and noticed weeds. Called office and rep stated I am not signed up for weed control on bare ground or lawn. If I am not signed up then why am I being invoiced and why does my initial request last year show that I signed up? No one was given permission to jump a fence, they were instructed to wait for my arrival to unlock gate and if I'm not suppose to be receiving services then I want a refund and apology. The rep on April 1st didn't state I did not have services. The rep I called on April 8th stated I did not have services.

      Business Response

Good morning.  I apologize that this complaint has not been addressed earlier.  The email you sent it to is a personal email and was in a spam folder and until he BBB called, we were not aware of the complaint nor the email.  It was also sent to my husband who has been deceased since 2020.  I will call the BBB to update our information for their records.

**************** is correct in her recollection as per my attached text messages.  The spray tech did call her and she was happy with the resolution that the back was indeed sprayed and yes, he did jump the fence, we called and told her that ourselves.  I also sent a text per the attached and asked her to call me if there were further issues.  She had the owners direct cell number and never reached out to me again. Her attachments show that she did not in fact, sign up for the bare ground control services (located under miscellaneous recommendations) she mentioned when calling our office. She signed up for a tree app and a lawn app. I do believe that should have been explained to her better by our customer ********************** rep and we could have got her a new estimate for those additional services.  This has shown me where we need to do additional training.   However, she did receive the services she signed up for and had no issue until she did not want to pay her bill.  When called to make her aware her account was past due she was rude to our rep and said she was not paying.  Standard procedure is to send out a pre-collections letter.  She then left a voicemail for me over the weekend.  When I called her back she hung up on me as seen in the attachment.  How is one to remedy a situation if a customer refuses communication?

**************** has paid her bill in full at this time.

Also, I was just received her voicemail on Monday 6.26.23.  I returned the call on 6.27.23 per the above screenshot and today is only 6.29.23.  She filed a complaint PRIOR (6.6.23) to even trying to reconcile with company management.

I appreciate the opportunity to share our side of the story and provide screen shots of calls and texts.

      Thank you,

      Complaint: 20146789

I am accepting their inaccurate explanation just to get my last word in.  FIRST OF ALL I DID NOT REFUSE TO PAY MY INVOICES.  I simply said IF YOU STATED THAT I DID NOT HAVE THE SERVICE THEN WHY SHOULD I PAY.....it was more of the point of the situation, that YES, your staff needs training.

DO NOT EVER SAY THAT I DO NOT PAY MY BILLS.  That was an outright lie.   I WAS NOT HAPPY IN THE SERVICE OF APRIL AS THERE WAS NO FLAG INDICATING YOU CAME BACK BECAUSE OF THE WINDY DAY, and YES the weeds were sprouting and not wilted over.  DO NOT SAY I WAS HAPPY.

Now I accept their apology.  CASE CLOSED.

      Sincerely,

      *************************
