On 9/4/23, I went in to shop for a car at Ozzys Car Company in ***************. When I went to sign the paperwork for the car, I decided to run my debit card as I had sufficient funds to cover the cost of the car. Upon running my card, I received a receipt from Ozzys stating that my card was declined. *****, the sales person I was working with directly, assured me that the amount would show up as a pending transaction in my online banking portal but that because my card was declined the debit would not actually post to my account. ***** instead had me sign a promissory note stating that I would bring payment in the following day. I signed the note and as such was able to drive off with the car. The next morning I went to my bank to get a cashiers check for payment to fulfill my obligation on the promissory note. I brought the cashiers check in promptly to Ozzys. Later, I checked my account to be sure that the void transaction did not post. To my surprise, the void amount was posted and deducted from my bank account. When I contacted ***** to remedy the issue, he claimed that they did not receive the void amount. He seemed open to helping me resolve the issue at first, but eventually stopped cooperating and stopped responding to my calls and messages.

      To whom it concerns,

At the time customer purchased the vehicle they used a debit card to pay for the vehicle. However, when the debit card was ran it only allowed partial payment to clear. It was decided by the customer and myself that we would "void" the debit card payment and the customer would bring full payment the next day. I proceeded to "void" the payment believing that would reverse the transaction. I have since discovered that only credit card transactions can be "voided" and debit card transactions must be "refunded." My communication with the bank we used is included within this responses attachment. Further more, I have made contact with the customer and have written them a check refunding them the amount of $9564.42. At present this matter has been resolved successfully with the client.

Please contact me with any further questions or concerns.

      Regards,

My son and I purchased a 2013 ***** truck. While inspecting the vehicle we asked about a "ticking" noise and we were advised that it was a "normal" sounds for that vehicle. Less than 30 days after the original purchase date and about ***** miles my son was advised by a mechanic that it was a piston slapping and that he would take it back to the dealership to see if they would take the truck back. We were told to bring the truck back on 2.14.23 and drop it off after he gets off work, they will need it for about half a day. On 2.17.23 Ozzy the owner of the dealership called and stated that the truck did not pass a compression test and that the engine was bad. He said he would call back on 2.18.23 to figure out a solution and do some research. 2.18.23 ***** called **** and we did a 3 way call and he stated that he wanted to make this right and that they could get a rebuilt engine for about ***** and that he would cover ***** of the expense to cover labor costs for his mechanics to do the necessary repair. **** stated that he would call us back Monday after he did further research and come up with something that would make us happy. After speaking with 2 mechanics, that is not anywhere near the actual cost for a rebuilt engine. Both mechanics state that the necessary parts that would need to be replaced would be Rod main bearing, *************** oil pump/water pump, timing ************** engine gasket set, freeze plugs, cam *********** bearing lifters / push rods. If all these parts are not replaced during a rebuilt then you have old looser parts trying to work with new tighter parts and it will not last.2.21.23 ***** and I went to ****'s and he stated that the mechanic was tearing apart the truck and was instructed by **** to fix whatever needed to be fixed. **** did not know what he was doing so he just told us it would be fixed and ***********.2.23.23 Ozzy messaged me and stated that the truck was ready for pick up. When he called ***** he told him that the only thing they did was replace the rods, which ***** and I both know that will not fix the issue. ***** is going to get a parts list and take a video of the stuck when he starts it in the am tomorrow and remain checking the oil daily. If this issue is not resolved we will be taking it back to **** and demanding that he take the truck back. We will not accept his mechanic to half a** anything in the future as he already has. 2.24.23 **** was able to pick up his truck today and it still is knocking and has fresh oil on one if the oil pan bolts. He is going to continue to check the oil every other day to make sure it isnt burning, leaking oil. I asked ***** to call/message **** today to make him aware of the situation.2.25.23 It was too late to call **** yesterday as **** was traveling for a wedding so I instructed him to contact him today. ***** has looked under the pick up and the bolts that should have been removed to tear the engine apart have not even been touched. They are still dirty and have oil on them if the bolts had been removed they would be clean/cleaner than they are. ***** has a wedding to attend today so tomorrow he will take a video of starting the truck in the morning and hearing the knock. He will also take pictures. He did speak to Ozzy today and **** told ***** he was done dealing with him because ***** was upset and called him a liar.At this point ***** would just like **** to take the truck back for the ENTIRE amount he paid for it.

On November 15,2022 I had traded in my 2010 ***** Ridgeline for a **** ****** Frontier at ************** H383538333133**3538H, ******************************************************************** **************. I didn&#**;t even leave the lot after signing when the locks malfunctioned and I couldn&#**;t get into to the ******, I went back in and told them and they said they would throw $100.00 towards the locks. I said ok and left and three days later the check engine light came on and I called them and they said to bring it in and they will look into it. In the meantime I found the previous owner information in the truck showing that it failed emissions in 2020 and the Carfax shows it was not tested again when Ozzy&#**;s got the ****** in October of 2022. The code that showed when the engine light came on is the same code the previous owner had shown on the vehicle. After I got the vehicle back I had gotten new tires and rims, brake pads and a battery. While I was waiting for the part to come in to Ozzy&#**;s so they could fix it. During this time there was an issue with the ignition, at this point it had been a week since I had it. I called and told them and asked what they could do they told me they will call me back. When they did they told me to bring it back in and they would give me my ***** back I said ok and they said they would reimburse me for the battery. When I met with them on Monday November 28, 2022 I had asked about the tires, rims and brakes and they asked if I had the old ones I said no and they told me they won&#**;t reimburse me for those items which cost me $1,284.72 after tax to have done. Then on Wednesday November 30, 2022 my ***** Ridgeline had a Radiator hose blow and I called Ozzy&#**;s and asked about it and they told me no one has driven it which I told him that was a lie because I found a copy of someone personal information that they taped to the back window when they uses the vehicle as a rental. I told him that it is complete mishandling of a customer personal information. I had burned that information so it would not get out, but I did get that person&#**;s name just in case something happened to my ***** Ridgeline just like it did.
