1 starAfter sending complaint letters to the vets, posting reviews online, and sending an official complaint to the ***** ***** of ********** Medicine, one of the vets finally responded to our complaints about their refusal to treat our dog (that died shortly after) in an emergency situation and horrible treatment by their office manager. This is a practice that had 4 ************* it's emergency care). I went during regular office and was turned away because I didn't have an appointment. I was sent to another emergency hospital that was actually closed. The next day during a call with my wife, the office manager claimed that the vet was with another emergency at the time then later changed it to no vet was on site. Which was it? My wife was told that vet techs can do nothing without a vet present. Do you want to take your pets to a hospital that can't do anything because there are no vets around?Within an hour of the call, we were fired as clients. In the office manager's notes, she wrote that my wife questioned the lack of treatment and that the office manager felt the conversation was going nowhere. (Client Fired! was written on her notes like she got a thrill out of firing a client whose dog just died). So no cussing, yelling, etc. by my wife but questioning. While the vet's email demonstrated some compassion, she never acknowledged our complaint about the office manager's behavior and obvious dishonesty. She accepted no blame for their denying care or the office manager's behavior and even tried to switch the blame to us (not calling before arriving & going to another vet, etc). My wife responded to the vet's email indicating that she would be willing to let it go if the office manager contacted us in some way with an apology. Nothing. The vet didn't even respond to that email which contained personal information about the connection between that dog and our deceased son. So decide for yourself if this is the kind of place you want to take a much loved pet.Review fromPennie C

1 starI took my pets here since ****. Had a situation with the office manager, *****, in December 2022 she threw away all of my pet records from **** to current.I didnt find this out till after I phoned the office when I got a letter in the mail that our entire family was fired for a missed appointment due to a sickness .I went into the office to have a conversation and retrieve my records. There was no screaming. There were questions that needed to be asked, and I was very polite about it, asked for my records, and never received them because they threw them away. I asked to speak to the owner of the company and I was told I was not allowed to ,it all went through the office manager, who I was having a problem with. The next day, the police phoned me for a no trespass. The office manager lied, said that I went into the office, screaming and yelling. When I left the office I found out that they had put 3 bad reviews on my business account. I had contacted the person who had done this personally on social media told her Id be contacting the owner in the morning .In the morning I received a call from the police department for no truss-pass . The office manager lied ,I retrieved my police reports yesterday I have those. I did nothing criminally wrong. It states in the police reports I was telling people to report their bad business behavior to the Better Business Bureau. Alpine Animal Hospital went on social media for ******** and was shaming me for my complaint but didnt use my name to get people to write good reviews on their ****** account There were a few reviews, referring to what happened to me on the account, and they said that I was in the wrong . They took no responsibility whatsoever for their bad behavior, calling the cops, and throwing away my 30 years pet records. My German shepherd had developed DM hes in a research , they need it all those records, theyre gone and so is my dog Rockoss he passed away February 13, 2023.Shame on them .Review fromWilliam M

1 starWe never had a problem with the actual vets but the staff are terrible in particular the Office Manager. Everyone should look at the Yelp and ****** reviews. Note the reviews that include rudeness and dishonesty by staff and even calls to police for clients who "supposedly" yell when treated poorly. Also note the lack of response by the vets which most likely means that they are unaware of the problems. Look at their ******** page which has a recent post meant to deflect from the reviews. Most reviews have nothing to do with the vets but with the staff yet the person who posted it not only attempts to make it seem like it's the vet who is being complained about but also plays on the sympathy of clients by suggesting that the vet is fragile. It's insulting to the vet who must have no knowledge of her staff's behavior (particularly the office manager's) and who by most accounts is a good vet. There also seem to be planted reviews (including the conveniently timed BBB reviewer below who accuses clients of being ***** and vindictive...as if others have no right to complain because of his past positive experiences.) Not every client is going to be happy 100% of the time but complaints should be acknowledged in a professional manner and clients not "fired" because they question treatment, they complain because their files have been destroyed, or because the hospital has more than enough clients to make up for the loss of your patronage. Also, check your websites like Nextdoor for comments about this hospital. They aren't pretty and some clients clearly have proof to back up their complaints . There are enough veterinary hospitals around that you don't have to go somewhere that's sole purpose is to help and save animals' lives but treats you poorly.Review fromKF D

5 starsAlpine Animal Hospital and its talented, *********** and staff have cared for our many animals for nearly 20 years. They have been with us through the *** and downs of new **********-checks, and euthanasia. The vets take the time to thoroughly explain whats going on with our pets and the available treatment options. *******************, friendly and up front about costs, weve always had a great experience at Alpine!Review fromSam and Jeannie L

5 starsAlpine Animal Hospital has taken care of our pets for over 25 years! They have welcomed them as puppies and cared for them until we had to say goodbye. And Alpine will continue to be our vet clinic as long as we have pets! The level of care is exceptional; the knowledge and expertise of the doctors unmatched. They have been there for every emergency, spent after-hours time calling ** to explain their thinking and answer our many questions. We have been blessed with their wonderful services with every pet and our pets have had long, healthy lives because of them. The staff is amazing as well. Their care and concern for our dogs is demonstrated by their smiles when we arrive and their understanding of our pain when we have to say goodbye to a beloved family member. Our support and gratitude is minor compared to what they have given ** for many years. Thank you, Alpine.Review fromMichael H.

5 starsOne cannot avoid being amused by the petty and vindictive reviews regarding Dr. ****** ****** and the staff at the Alpine Animal Hospital.
There were several comments specifically referring to the purported excessive costs incurred. One should be cognizant of the fact that Dr. ****** nor her staff are responsible for the highest rate of inflation in the last forty years. Show me a consumer product and/or consumer service that has not increased substantially in the last two years.
Dr. ****** and her wonderful staff have provided excellent medical care and support for our canine children for the past eighteen years.
Dr. ****** is a knowledgeable and experienced veterinarian. She has an acute passion for her profession. Her sense of empathy and compassion are unequaled. Dr. ****** is the best.
The same applies to her Office Manager Marie, Jill at the front desk and all the other employees who share the same sense of empathy and compassion as Dr. ******.
Not once in the past eighteen years have we experienced a billing or scheduling problem.
If my dogs do not like you, then my wife and I do not like you. Our dogs love Dr. ******.Review fromPc C

1 starI have been doing business with Alpine for 30 years, since **** and we as a family have been Fired from doing business with them due to my son missing 2 appointments and the 2nd was due to my son being very sick . I went in to get my pet records and was told they got rid of all of them ,My male dog is still alive . I called to have a conversation and the office manager slammed the phone down on my ear . I asked to speak to the doctors or owner and was told I could not , only the office manager . We needed pills sent to the other animal hospital and they refused. My son had to get pills for his dog when he was very sick . The same day he got the pills the workers put 3 bad reviews on my business account . I sent message to one and she removed , the others are still there . I was called by police that I was not allowed on property . The same with my son who paid over $1000 of vet bill and had to get his pills . I hope the owners of Alpine are aware what their office people and workers are doing! . Thoroughly disgusted after 30 years of a relationship with an animal Hospital I thought I could trust .Review fromKim K

1 starI have been a customer of ********************** for the last 18 years and have had 5 pets in that time. I have always been happy with the service in the past. I made an appointment for my 1 year old dog to be spayed and was told that I needed to wait 3 months since she was in heat. No worries. I showed up to our appointment only to be told that I needed to reschedule because she hadn't been seen in 6 months and that they may not be able to work with her because she might" be aggressive because she was nervous. Her hackles were raised and she was backing away, no growling and no teeth showing. No one approached or tried to work with her. I was told that most animals that go there are happy and they want the animals to have a pleasant experience. I couldn't believe it. None of my pets have ever been happy going to the vet and surgery is not going to be a pleasant experience. The staff who made the appointment did not ask when she was seen last. She did not tell me that I needed a pre-appointment or sedation. This was never the case before they moved to their new location. Staff was robotically polite and were completely indifferent to my being upset. I also had to put a deposit down for the first time. I have never not shown up for an appointment. I made an appoint at another vet and asked if I needed to do any of this and was told no, including no deposit. Getting my pets records is proving difficult.
