- On a case by case situation is a rule-of-thumb to have 1 yr on fillings and 2-3 yrs on crowns with patient good check up and exams. If the product was not to standard in the initial treatment for that tooth, then we will re-do the restoration. Diet and daily care are a large part of home care to maintain the restorations with monitoring if grinding/clenching is a factor.
