I have been subscribing to ************* for years. On June 26, 2024, I renewed my subscription with check #**** for $34.99. I got a card in the mail in ****** to renew my subscription again. I thought it hadn't gone through in June so I sent a second check to ******************** on ****** 13, 2024, check #**** for $42.74. In October, I got a third notice to renew my magazine. I saw my check from ****** hadn't cleared so I wrote another check on October 2, 2024, check#**** for $42.74. In November, both check #**** and check #**** cleared on November 12 and November 13 respectively. When I viewed the checks, my original checks that I wrote had been recreated as a computer generated checks with my bank account numbers and the Pay to the Order changed to PPS. The checks I wrote looked like the check I wrote on June 26. I tried calling the number on the Renew card multiple times with no answer, I called the number on the back of the check, again no answer. I emailed them 4 times and again, no response. I called ******************** on March 17, 2025 and was told my subscription runs out September 2025 and that they had only received the June 26, 2024 check for renewal. The other two never came. It appears PPS is a third party who cashed my checks after reprinting them and never contacted ******************** with a new subscription for me. I paid PPS for two 2-year subscriptions with each payment. I was confused when they kept sending me the cards saying I needed to renew. I don't know how to reach them to get a refund of my money. Can you help? My current subscription's account number with ******************** is: **********.

In October I received a renewal notice purportedly from *********************** and I renewed for two years and sent a check to PPS, which I incorrectly assumed was the New Yorker's processing firm. The check was cashed Nov. 1, 2024. Check # **** for $257.72. Today, 1/9/2025, I received an email from the New Yorker saying my subscription would expire soon. When I called, they had no record of receiving my check nor do they use PPS for processing, but use Conde Nast.

Responded to an offer to extend my subscription to the New Yorker for two (2) years for the sum of $257.00. Sent a check in that amount on 7/16/24 which was negotiated by deposit by "Publication Processing Syndicate #*******". In September 2024 (@5th) was advised my subscription had expired and had not been renewed. I then re-subscribed directly through the New Yorker--on September 9th retrieved through my bank copy of check showing endorsement.

In late September 2023 I received a notice from PPS renew my subscription to ********************** for $294.27 for a six-month renewal. I believed that I was in good standing with the journal having paid a slightly lower amount for a full year's subscription. However, the card I received was professionally printed and I assumed this would assure the continuation of the subscription. Then in April 2024 I received a notice directly from the Economist for $275 for a one-year renewal. When I explained the PPS note and that I had paid $294.27 the Economist said that they did not know of PPS and had never dealt with them, and to continue with the service I would be charged $275 which I paid. The Economist however would not honor the money I paid to PPS, so I am asking that PPS reimburse me $294.27. Twice I have tried to call and to send an email, but PPS has never responded.

I responded to offer AAEIIIT for 51 issues of *********************** I paid PPS $206.74 in October of 2023 and they cashed my check on 11/21/2023. I have not received any of the magazines. I have left many voice messages on their phone number and my emails have also not been responded to. Each time I try to call the phone number listed on the offer it immediately goes to voicemail.

Here is a copy of the offer that I responded to last fall.  Yesterday I received another offer from PPS with the same contact information.  As I indicated in my initial complaint, I have tried to communicate with them using the phone number and email provided but I have not received any response.
