Horrible. I had a large credit balance when I canceled my service, but they added some ridiculous "Budget Billing Settle up" fee so they didn't have to refund what they owed me. Complete thieves who have a monopoly so they can do whatever they want, or else they just shut off your heat.

**************** was indeed on Budget Billing. He had carried a Budget Billing credit for quite some time which is not the same as the actual Utility Balance. He had submitted no payments on his account since 11/22/21. Since that time gas charges had accrued monthly on his account with no payments being received. It is important to note that each month the customers statements show the Account Summary which is based on the Budget Billing amount due and the Utility Summary balance which is the actual Utility account balance. Although the Budget Billing balance was still showing a credit of $-110.84 as of 4/18/22 when he closed his account, the actual Utility balance on his account was $41.41 as reflected on his 4/5 statement. When he closed his account we rem eliminated the budget billing credit so that his actual balance was reflected as the $41.41 in gas charges owed. On his final **** on 4/18 there was an additional charge of $15.15 for gas services from 4/5 - 4/18 so added to the $41.41 from his 4/5 billing he owes a total of $56.56.It can be confusing to decipher an actual account balance as it differs from the Budget Billing balance but each month the actual account balance is reflected on the customers statements under Utility Summary. It is also reflected in the Account Balance in the upper right corner as well as under account balance on the payment stub at the bottom.

It should be understood that IMG's website shows a credit balance up until they magically charged $152 from some hidden ledger that was not visible on my account. This is clearly deceiving and meant to overcharge people after they cancel their account. But you better not dare complain, or they will post half truths and lies about you online meant to discredit you. Then they will post private account and billing information on a public facing website. I'm sure our attorney will find this practice very interesting.
