Service, wheel and tire warrantys for a 21 Jeep Grand Cherokee were purchased through Woodhouse, contract was signed by myself ***********************, and ex *************************. Upon Separation **** took over vehicle and payments, he wanted to trade it in and went to Woodhouse to do so, **** agreed to this and signed for Woodhouse to obtain title. Hope called about the vehicles warranties and to cancel them for Hope and ****, she was advised by the finance director that he would not be issuing a refund (warranties through ********** comp. $2912) and they put it on ***** new vehicle down payment. The refund for the warranties are contracted and signed by the co owners of the 21 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a check should be issued to the parties on the contract. To no avail I have reached out to the finance director **************** and he refuses to acknowledge or speak to me. I have not filed suit as of yet but if this is not a resolution legal action is my only other option.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/16/2023

I apologize for the late response, this letter just recently landed on my desk.

This response is in reference to the *********************** request, ID ********.  On 12/09/2022 ************************* purchased a vehicle.  For that purchase ****** offered a trade in that had been purchased prior by him and ************************  The prior purchase had cancellable finance products attached to the loan that we estimated at $4800.  ****** used that amount to reduce the cost of the payoff.  **************** provided us the required signature for the product cancellations.  The actual refund value was later determined to be $3925.15.

In approximately late January/early February Rodwell called Woodhouse and asked to speak with a supervisor.  We spoke and she requested information on the cancellation process.  Over the course of a phone call or two I advised ******* only one signature was required to request a cancellation, that two parties on a retail installment contract were equal regardless of whos first or second, that ****** included $21016 in negative equity on the trade (with a net  of $16216 in negative equity), and that she (Rodwell) was now completely removed of the financial obligation on vehicle that her and ****** purchased.

******* later demanded copies of documents and wanted part of the refunds.  I advised that copies of all documents were provided at the time of sale and that Woodhouse did not want to be part of a domestic issue between two parties.
