I am filing this complaint against McKee RV in *****, ****, for what I believe is a serious case of misrepresentationeither negligent or fraudulentin the sale of a defective fifth-wheel trailer. We purchased what was represented as a new ********** Suites fifth wheel for about $155,000. My family and I are in full-time ministry, and this RV was to be our home as we travel sharing the gospel. Within three weeks of ownership, a rainstorm revealed extensive water damage, including a rotted floor and black mold in the master bedroom slidedamage clearly developed long before purchase.During our pre-delivery walkthrough, I noticed a brown stain in this same area. The salesperson dismissed it as just a coffee stain, but it now appears to have been a sign of prior water intrusion. We have since found additional leaks in other areas, including the kitchen.McKee RV admitted the unit had been on their lot for one to two years yet still sold it as new. When notified, they refused to rescind the sale or refund our payment, offering instead to trade for another unit if we paid an additional $15,****** wife has a medical sensitivity to mold, verified by her physician, making this trailer uninhabitable and unsafe. Despite this, McKee RV has shown little empathy or accountability for the hardship caused. We respectfully request that your office investigate McKee RVs deceptive practices and assist in obtaining a rescission of the sale and full reimbursement for this defective, misrepresented unit.Sincerely,***** *******, ****

McKee RV takes all customer concerns seriously and we appreciate the opportunity to respond to this matter. We understand the disappointment the customer has experienced; however, our records and inspection findings do not support the claims presented in this complaint.
The 2024 ********** Suites referenced in this case was sold as new, having never been titled or previously owned. Prior to delivery, the unit underwent a full pre-delivery inspection, and at no time was there any indication of a water leak, water damage, or mold within the unit while it was in our possession. We have no record or observation of any such condition prior to or during delivery.
After the customer reported concerns, ********************** immediately recommended that the unit be taken to an authorized DRV repair facility for evaluation. This is required under **** manufacturer warranty policy so that any warrantable items can be properly inspected and, if necessary, repaired at no cost to the owner. Despite repeated communication, the customer has declined to follow this procedure and has refused to have the unit inspected by an authorized facility.
DRV, as the manufacturer, establishes and administers all warranty coverage. McKee RV cannot perform warranty work or authorize replacement without manufacturer approval. We have continued to offer assistance within the limits of that warranty process, including working with *** to identify next steps for proper inspection and repair.
While we regret that the customer is dissatisfied, ********************** has acted in good faith, followed all manufacturer and state retail guidelines, and remains willing to assist the customer through the correct warranty channels to ensure a fair resolution.

We found an RV (Toy Hauler)online at McKee RV in *****, **** we believed would work for hauling our ******* We put $1000 in anticipation of purchase. We completed financing arrangements and insurance, but upon seeing the unit in person it was clear the motorcycle would not fit easily into the unit (not just size but also configuration, with cabinet height, wheel *****, etc that are not easily pictured). We tried to find another unit on the lot but could not find anything that would meet our needs. McKee kept our deposit even though it was never indicated in any conversation or writing (not even on the receipt) that it was nonrefundable. Nobody's more disappointed than us the unit didn't work after driving 3 hrs to the dealership. To add insult to injury they would not refund our deposit. From looking at other complaints it's clear they have issues with not being upfront or clear about deposits with customers.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We genuinely regret that the ** did not meet your specific needs upon viewing it in person.
To clarify, deposits are collected as a sign of commitment to purchase and to take the unit off the market for you. During that time, we also begin preparing for final delivery, which involves administrative and inventory processes. While we understand your frustration, deposits are generally considered non-refundable for these reasons though we sincerely apologize if that wasnt communicated clearly enough in this case.
Were actively reviewing how we present our deposit policy to ensure expectations are crystal clear moving forward. Your feedback is helping us do better.
If you'd like to discuss potential crediting of the deposit toward a future unit or have further concerns, we invite you to contact us directly.

Purchased a 2022 ***** Seneca with major issues that should have fixed prior to us receiving. Paid ********** on July 18, 2024. After multiple emails, McKee agreed to fix our slide. The they asked us to pay a portion of the cost which we shouldnt have but did. Our rig was at their dealership 4 weeks for repair. They destroyed our flooring and I have mentioned this to the service person. They left a hole in one spot and tried glueing down other places only to peel up and now we trip on it when walking. They have said they would repair but ***** doesnt manufacture this style of flooring and McKee flat out refused to put in a whole new floor. How can they fix if no flooring is available to repair? One piece of vinyl tile has a large chunk missing and several are now peeling and curling up. We also had to have their slide repair fixed the correct way while on a trip which costs us extra money. I was seeking reimbursement for that but havent heard back from McKee in several weeks. We had 3 separate repair services examine slide and they all said it happened prior to us buying and should have never left the dealership in that condition.Seeking reimbursement to cover cost of having flooring replaced.

    Business Response

Dear Ms. ***************** am writing to follow up on the recent repairs completed on your 2022 Jayco Seneca 37K.

As you may recall, the unit was purchased as-is due to it being out of ***** warranty, although you did purchase an extended warranty at that time. In September, you contacted McKee RV regarding an issue with one of the slides, and we advised you to take the unit to a local dealer for repair. The dealer diagnosed a failure in the slide system, resulting in damage to the slide subfloor and interior plank flooring. Unfortunately, the failed part (a slide plate) was not covered by your extended warranty.

After reviewing the estimate from the local dealer, we found the recommended repair to be excessive and advised you to bring the unit to our facility for further review, with no guarantee that McKee RV would cover the repair.

Upon further review, our technicians determined the cause of the issue was a ripped slide pan, which caused the slide to lift and damage the floor. We found no issue with the slide floor itself, and the cosmetic damage to the slide plate was repairable.

Our service manager discussed the repair process and cost with you, and you agreed to pay a portion of the cost ($923.63), with McKee RV covering the remaining balance.

Please note that repairs of this nature can occur with any RV at any time. Given the terms and conditions of your signed agreement, we believe that McKee RV has provided exceptional assistance with this repair.

I am rejecting this response because: the slide was fixed incorrectly and we had to have it fixed again. I sent invoice. Floor damage was not from slide. McKee tech damaged it when he tried to fix it leaving it with a chipmunk missing and whatever glue was used  aused floor to peel and curl up. Photos were sent

    Sincerely,

On Sept 1, 2024, I purchased a raptor toy hauler from McKee Rv and it was sold to me with the title that has a lien on it, and I have constantly been lied to. The sales rep ***** told us it had hot water on demand that he had checked with the service department, when we drove there to buy it, it did not!. They would only put in the cheapest system possible at no expense not the system that comes with it. Upon getting home we noticed there was no title. We called back the next day, and ***** said they have to hold the cashiers check for 7 days for it to clear and then they immediately mail us the title. No title received later found out they did not have the title. After going back-and-forth with them, forgetting to order the hot water on demand but telling us they did, then a miscommunication that the service department did not order it, we still do not know the status of it. As it turns out they now have the title, but it has a lien on it. We were told it was mailed to them, but got lost in the mail. Then we were told it was mailed on Sept 13 then Sept 16, and as of today I was told it was mailed from a bank in ******** who holds the lien on Sept 25. As of right now they are holding over $60,000 cash that we paid for it, and we cant get a title on it. I have no proof that the lien has even been paid off, sales depart and owner said they keep us informed. We have not been kept informed of anything. One text after another each contradicting the previous text. I want the title and the lien release on the ** I purchased 27 days ago! I asked them to throw in ** toilet paper for all the hassle. They said no . ***** told me they would winterize it for me for the inconvenience and now they say they will not do that because I have time to use it. How do you use something you dont have? It has been one lie after another, I have no proof that they even paid off the lien. They should have never sold it without a clear title they have 60k of my money and the **. Nightmare!

McKee RV facilitated the sale of a 2021 Keystone Raptor 351 to the ******* family on September 3, 2024. Upon delivery, it was discovered that the unit lacked an on-demand hot water heater, as advertised in the factory brochure. In response, we offered the Brooners three options:

    1. Suburban (Provided at no additional cost)
    2. ****** (Available at an additional cost)
    3. Truma (Available at an additional cost)

The Brooners opted for the Suburban model at no extra charge. We informed them that the installation would require a timeframe of one to two weeks before the unit could be prepared for transport.

During the waiting period for the on-demand system, our title department communicated with the Brooners, advising them that their title was not yet available. This delay was due to a lien held by the previous owner, which necessitates a period of ***** days for us to acquire the title from the lienholder. Before releasing the title to the new owner, we ensure that all informationincluding year, make, model, and floorplanis accurately reflected.

Upon installation of the Suburban unit, we determined that it was not a suitable fit cosmetically, and subsequently upgraded the Brooners to the Truma system at no additional expense. Upon completion of all work, the Brooners were notified. At their request, we deferred transport until we obtained the title, which was received during the week of October 7th. On October 12th, the unit and its title were delivered to the Brooners as per their request.

Although there were delays in our response, McKee RV diligently addressed the Brooners' concerns and ensured they were satisfactorily resolved.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against McKee RV regarding their unethical business practices and breach of agreement. I have provided all the necessary details below:I entered into an agreement with McKee RV to purchase a 5th wheel at the agreed-upon price of $84,000, with financing arranged through their dealership. I had already paid a $500 deposit as a show of commitment. Additionally, I had taken the necessary steps to hire an inspector and set up delivery for the unit.To my utter dismay, I received the shocking news today that McKee RV has decided to sell the 5th wheel to someone else. This sudden change of plans is completely unacceptable, especially after I had made a deposit and taken proactive measures to finalize the purchase.Despite my repeated requests, McKee RV is now refusing to provide the necessary paperwork for me to complete the sale. I demanded the documents to complete the sale multiple times, but instead of receiving any assistance, I was abruptly hung up on after requesting to speak to the General Manager.I want to emphasize that I have audio recordings of all communications with McKee RV, as well as copies of relevant emails, which I am willing to provide as evidence upon your request. This situation has caused me significant distress and wasted time and effort. This was our intended home for the next several months and because of their actions, we will be displaced. McKee RV's actions not only demonstrate a lack of professionalism but also a blatant disregard for customer commitment and satisfaction.Sincerely,*******************************

******************* contacted Mckee RV and inquired about a new *********** 5th wheel. ******************* made an offer to Mckee RV which was later accepted. ******************* requested financing assistance which Mckee RV agreed to facilitate. Mckee RV agreed to hold the unit for ******************* during the finance process. Unfortunately, after getting ******************* approved and disclosed the terms of the financing. ******************* chose to withdraw her offer and submit a lower offer. Mckee RV declined her offer and requested her to fulfill the original agreement.

A few days had passed and no agreement was made. Mckee RV informed ******************* that we can no longer hold the unit for her, each and every day we hold the unit for her it costs us money and potential lost sale.  Due to her withdrawing her offer we are no longer interested in selling her the unit. However, despite holding the unit for her. Mckee RV is willing to refund her the partial down payment she placed.

****************** works in the real estate field. What she did was unethical. If ******************* would have fulfilled the original offer, then things would have turned out different.
