On 10/06/22 I rented a funnel cake fryer from this company until 10/10/22 for 246.53.Contract number ***** invoice number 72177.Right away I complained that the machine wasn't complete and that it was dirty when we picked it up. I called the business and let them know I wasn't satisfied. I drove 200 miles to get this rental because my fryer broke and I had a large event planned. After prep for my event and set up, we realized the fryer would not get hot enough. We turned the temp to 400 but it would hardly get to 350 or a little above. Not the 375 we need. We called the store and told them hey, this machine isn't working properly. It won't get hot enough and we can't use it for our event. They said that's our only one. This is a loss all around. They told us bring it back and get refunded. We showed up and they only refunded the unused days. We told them it didn't work properly and they said that's not our problem. I called and spoke to the owner and he said his name is ***** and he said and I quote, it's not my problem. I never told you to drive 200 miles. It's not my problem the equipment didn't work and you can't have a refund. I asked for corporate to escalate this complaint and he said I OWN THIS so you're out of luck. Let me test it with my own oil and figure some things out and I will call you back. When? I asked. Oh tomorrow maybe. This is terrible service. I called a week before the rental and made sure they had it, and specifically asked if it was complete. I think the guy just said anything to get that rental contract signed. As soon as we saw the poor quality of the equipment the stores attitude changed to it's not my problem and I don't care. I'm the owner so tough *****. It's not my problem.I have been hurt by this misleading that the equipment was viable.My event was cancelled. It's a multi day event. I paid to rent broken equipment and drove *********************************************************** it's not their problem. Two pics show the temp.
