My brother died mid Mach of this year. I am the executor of his estate and, in that capacity, I am dealing with three accounts held by ********************************************* Bank, a checking, a savings, and a prime equity line account. ********************************************* has been obstructive, provided misinformation, incomprehensibly difficult, and as yet, failed to perform in any reasonable way. They do not accept communication or documents sent by computer. Instead information and documents must be faxed or mailed ******* making the process more time consuming and inconvenient. On June 13. I requested by fax the payout information for the prime equity line. I had not receive any communication from them when I called on June 27. A representative provided the payoff amount and said a payout statement had been mailed on June 23rd (not received to date). I wired Wells Fargo the payout balance that day. Subsequent phone calls by me to determine the status of a letter of satisfaction have resulted in holding for conversations with the probate department, the estate care department, the home mortgage department, the department of specialty processing, and finally, the executive offices, where, instead of simply issuing the letter of satisfaction, they have now assigned a case number and case worker to investigate the loan which they have acknowledge paid by sending a check to his Estate on July 1st for my small overpayment of the account balance. And yet, they have failed to send the County a letter of satisfaction, which, I believe, should be automatic once a loan is paid in full. This is not, on any level, satisfactory service from a banking institution.

I wish there is less than one star. After a very long time, and a lot of documents requested, and a lot of fees paid, they simply reject your application for simple reason without discussing it with you. The employee dealing with you is not explaining anything in the begining and not considering that you have no previous practice as a first time home buyer. I don't recommend them at all and I will close my account with them very soon.

Incompetence beyond compare. Year after year it's always come through! :(Can I just tell you how tired I am of getting hit with a $1,500 bill EVERY March because Wells Fargo didn't collect enough escrow, again??How can Wells Fargo and the homeowners insurance company have such vastly different ideas of how much the insurance company should be paid from our escrow every. single. year? Our previous home loan lender never had this problem, but our home loan was bought by Wells Fargo. Not because we were behind or had any problems, just for some wealthy bank owner to profit from the sale of the mortgage. Lucky us!

Wells Fargo Mortgage puts the blame on the customer. They obviously never are in error.I recently had towo mortgage payments automatically debited from my account and they will not refund the duplicate payment for ten business days. This was clearly a bank error; however, they are holding my money hostage. I have never had a late payment nor have I had a payment that did not clear my account. These people do not take care of their customers. Beware! I will never do business in any way with Wells Fargo. I will refinance my house just because of their lack of attention to my current situation.

I turned my card off so transactions wouldnt go through. Yet they let over $200 worth of charges go through. Plus overdraft fees. I called and they told me the system recognizes things as reoccurring charges so allows them to go anyways regardless of the card being on or off. I told them i wanted to dispute it since i had my card locked and didnt authorize those. They told me no and they also wouldnt take care of the fees charged. That is ridiculous. I am closing my account. Wouldnt go back to them even if they were the last bank left.

I would give 0 starts if it would let me. Spent 6 months working with well Fargo to get our home loan approved. We are sitting at the lawyers office right this second waiting for our documents to be sent over when they should have been this morning. We have know about this closing date for OVER A WEEK!! They just now are trying to ask about the deposit check we wrote in MAY. Whenever you do, do not use Wells Fargo for anything

I had worked with a mortgage officer last year to lock a long term mortgage loan for our new construction home. At the time the officer told us multiple times and assured us that if the rate goes down at the time of closing, the lock rate fee over $13000 was allowed to be used towards closing and to buy rate down. The officer changed and now the new officer is saying different thing that it can not be used towards any of those the previous officer told us and we just wasted $13000 on locking at a higher rate. We seriously got scammed. We made a mistake of not recording this conversation we had with wells fargo. Never doing business with wells fargo and never recommending them to anyone.

My husband and I were pre-approved for a home loan of $290k. We sought a loan of $220k and were putting 20% down. Wells Fargo Mortgage kept us in escrow for 40 days only to reject us because the insurance the *** has on the whole structure "did not meet their requirements" even though several other units have been bought with conventional loans just this last year. They told us the delay was due to the *** not giving them the documents they needed but I know they are lying about that because the seller was president of the ***. Their loan agent would also lie about times in which he called our realtor (something we could easily confirm with her.)We got another mortgage company to fund our loan in 10 days. Although, our credit scores were 30 points down because of all the inquiries Wells Fargo made.

Two years ago, I was diagnosed with Cancer and went into the hospital. During my stay I had a flood in my home. Prior to my stay the city issued a check to WELLS FARGO HOME MORTGAGE to cover my mortgage payment. The bank received the check prior to my due date and applied the entire check to my escrow IN ERROR. WELLS FARGO MISTAKE. This cause my payment to be late and because of that they placed my account in what they call a "monitored" status. I hired an insurance attorney to assist me with obtaining funds for my repairs. Every check I receive I have to pay the attorney's office (Thousands) to obtain the check and then pay $40-$50 to overnight the check to Wells Home Mortgage office. They keep the funds and decide how much they want to send me to cover my repairs. I sent them $10k and my plumbing estimate is $9k to which they decided they would send me $4k. This has been an ongoing battle for over 2 YEARS. My account should've never been monitored. I have never received any late payment fees and yet they made a mistake but is restricting me from money I need to repair my home. I'm curious as to how many Afro American homeowners accounts are monitored versus Caucasians. How is this legal or ethical? I just need to get my plumbing completed in order to maintain a normal comfortable life in my home. I haven't used my washing machine in 2 years out of fear it may cause another flood. I monitor how much water I am using all the time. THIS BANK IS THE WORST WHEN IT COMES TO BLACK HOMEOWNERS. DO NOT TAKE OUT A LOAN WITH THEM. SUCH DISCRIMINATING PRACTICES!!
