    On Aug 10, 2023. I received an email from DIspatch-Argus that read in part "Subscribe to unlimited digital access at a special rate 1 year for only $26. Thats just 50 cents a week to get the local news that keeps you informed." Called to sign-up, account was charged standard monthly fee, Called and complained and requested promotion, they would not honor it. Requested refund and to close account, got partial refund. This is false advertising. This is how they treat a 35+ year customer.

    ************************ subscription was stopped effective 8/1/2023. This was a digital subscription which began February 7, 2023.  Because the digital subscription was already in effect, he was not eligible for the 1 year/$26 rate. This offer is valid to new subscribers only and cannot be applied to an active subscription.

    The prorated refund of $14.21, less the $5.00 subscriber refund fee, was sent out.

    We left a message, but have not heard back.

    Poorest Customer service ever! You'll have to call a reporter at the times to get to someone at Argus to straighten out your account! Don't even consider them for anything.

    We spoke to Linda and she was upset with the communication out of the customer
    service center. She had difficulty understanding them and they would not
    help her with her questions. She said the gentleman did not seem like he
    wanted to help her and because the email was not showing up with the e-edition
    in her inbox, she was trying to get help with what she was paying for and he
    would not help her. She really didn’t seem to understand the process. We
    had a pleasant conversation and she was glad for the phone call, but was not
    interested in any type of remedy.

    I have been searching for a gentlemen for my mom. I saw an obituary with his name. Wanting to see of it was him, I had to sign up for a subscription. This was $1 for 30 days and you could cancel anytime. Reviewed the obituary and I was done. I immediately sent an email to cancel subscription. No response. Went to their website to cancel, you cant, you have to contact customer service. I email again, nothing. I call, sit on hold for several minutes, then chose option to have a call back. Phone rang once, no one there. I then go on and email MMosbrucker email looking for helpnothing. This is the worst, most frustrating experience! I just want this cancelled! By the way, Im currently on hold, 15 minutes in!******* K
