    We hired Houseman's Outdoor Solutions to install an inground pool in 2020. During our meeting *****************************, owner, assured us they had experience installing pools. Even having photos on their social media pages, we later found out they were from another company. They started install October 2020. During first install, they poured the concrete decking promising to return the following morning to put broom finish on, but the concrete had cured already, which we said would happen and they ignored. We also noticed the pool was 10 out of square and was not excavated to the proper depth. The pool had to be torn out and redone. They returned April 2021. They struggled squaring the walls before finally asking my husband how to do it! With pool now reinstalled they began pouring the concrete. During this pour, one of the employees forcefully pushed the wet concrete up against the foam form which caused it to move leaving the coping uneven and wavy. The coping was honey combed, the brush finish was not uniformed and was not even done in some areas. They moved on to install the vinyl liner. Liner was installed incorrectly, leaving huge wrinkles and stairs that looked more like a ramp. They agreed they would replace the liner after concrete was fixed. Their solution to the concrete was to cut it back and install coping pavers. They started on the pavers in early 2022. After complete, we noticed the sides of the pool were still not straight, the pavers were uneven, some over above concrete creating a huge safety hazard. After giving Housemans multiple attempts and over 18 months, we decided it was time to part ways. Since we paid Housemans most of the balance upfront, we were now forced to do most of the work ourselves. While doing so we noticed multiple pieces installed incorrectly, or not at all, costing us thousands more. We then hired a concrete company to fix and redo the concrete. We are now asking Housemans to reimburse us for the cost of finishing our pool.

    I would not recommend Houseman's Outdoor Solutions. They failed to provide service on the agreed upon date(s), so I requested a full refund of my deposit due to their lack of communication. Instead of providing me a full refund, they kept 13% of my deposit. They informed me they are keeping a 3% non-refundable processing fee for the credit card payment, and stated, " Also, should the customer decide not to move forward with HOS for any reason, 10% of the deposit is non-refundable." In my situation, the reason for cancellation was directly due to Houseman's not showing up to start the project. Houseman's never started the project during the week of October 10 as originally stated. I had to call them to reschedule, and they stated that due to loss of employees, they had a loss in communication and rescheduled my installation to October 27. Low and behold, they never showed up on October 27 either. I informed them I do not trust them to complete the project because of their lack of communication and action.
