On June 5, 2023, a representative from Air Care came out to my house to evaluate the problem with my air unit and determined it needed to be replaced. He said the cost would be $5,005 and someone would call to set up an appointment. That same day, their office called and said they had a customer to reschedule for the next day and could install our unit. I took the appointment. Then I called the office and asked if they give a senior citizen discount and she said yes and checked to be sure he hadn't already included one. It was determined one had not been given so she notated the account to give me a 5% senior citizen discount of $400. On June 6, 2023, the unit was installed. I gave the installer my credit card to pay, he swiped it and did not tell me there would be a fee for using a credit card. When I finally received an invoice was June 23, 2023 and seen I had been charged a processing fee for using a credit card of $132.63! I was not given any paperwork or receipt when I initially paid with the card at the time of service so I had no idea this would happen. I should have been informed of this hidden fee before he swiped the card. I would not have used the credit card to pay had I known that. I had called the bank and took out a loan and could have ran and picked up the cash to pay for it. Now I have to pay interest on the loan and a processing fee to them when it would have been interest only for my loan. I feel I was taken advantage of. If I hadn't asked about the discount, I wouldn't have received it. I use credit cards all the time and have never paid a processing fee so I was not even aware of it. Please assistant me in reimbursement of the $132.63 fee and let others know there is this fee when paying with a credit card with this company. We are on a fixed income and this is a lot of money for us. Also, I requested a copy of the warranty and an itemized statement but only received the statement/invoice. I was told I would receive a copy of the warranty with the invoice and it was not included. And I would receive one from ******* once they registered it with them. I have none yet.
