I am appalled by the mistreatment of this vet. I took my dog in to get a nail trim due to needing to be sedated as he's had non pleasant experiences, so he does not let anyone touch his feet. Also please keep this in mind, if I can't take him to a traditional groomer, and I've tried doing it myself, obviously the next step is to take him to "professionals." I arrived 15 mins early to his appointment and I filled out paperwork and she got his weight. The receptionist was great she seemed as though she was at her job for all the right reasons! She then directed us to his room. We were met with a blonde woman with glasses and a older man whom was the vet. Off the bat they came in treating my dog as if he was the most aggressive dog in the world. I felt horribly as he has literally never been treated as bad as what these people were relaying to him in his entire 3 years of living. Once they realized he was going to need more sedation (which was already known), he came in to the room holding the needle up and says "I swear if this dog bites one of us," My dog has never bitten anyone, he also had a muzzle on so that wouldn't have been possible either, but he is very smart and is observant, so where I'm at a loss is understanding how a vet wouldn't know that a dog can visually see you coming at him with a needle, let alone as he see's that the other woman is grabbing and twisting his collar, yanking him around saying things like "damn dog." The male vet even tried to apologize to me for all the name calling they were doing. (APOLOGY NOT ACCEPTED). Now see everything I've mentioned isn't even the worst part. The woman with the blonde hair and glasses SMACKED MY DOG IN THE **** RIGHT NEXT TO ME, to get him to stop moving so the injection could go in? He even had a muzzle on at this point. The way they were handling him even after being tranquilized was making my stomach turn. I was truly at a loss for words and very angry at the abuse.
