The Contractor accepted $7000 in payment up front in July 2024 for an insurance claim roof replacement. After receiving the payment the contractor didnt work towards scheduling my job and never delivered materials, which was what the upfront cost was for in the contract. After 3 months of me transitioning from asking for a scheduled date to asking for them to cancel my contract and return the money they refused to do either. I had to tell them they were in breech of contract and hire a local contractor to complete my roof, which they did without requiring up front payment and they completed with 3 weeks in December 2024. It is now the end of March 2025 (9 months of this ongoing) and I have not received a refund. Valor Roofing is in the business of running an insurance scam.Business Response

1) We are not running an insurance scam
2) The customers down payment was not collected until August 10 not July as stated.
3) We do have other jobs and we do our best to put them in the order received. Due to that, and weather moving in we had to postpone work until spring as we want the shingles to seal properly.
4) Part of the reason we delayed in sending product to prove we had intent to do the work was due to impending documented threats from the customer with full intent to break the contract. We drop materials the day of.
5) We do not know ANY contractors out there who do work with 0 down as thats a huge risk as a business.
6) We will work on cancellation of contract paperwork for the customer however there are restocking fees associated with the customers breach of contract.

I am rejecting this response because:
Valor Roofing and associates have made no efforts whatsoever to be forthcoming with any information or refunds for their untimely and dishonest business practices. They had every opportunity during 3 months of excellent weather to complete the work. I was told the job would be completed within a 2 day to 2 week timeframe once payment was processed, I didnt start advocating for my job until a month after the payment was processed. They were given many opportunities to communicate their intent to work or to refund the contracted payment and refused to provide work dates, refund the payment, or deliver material per their contract agreement. There was no work or material to be charged or restocked for my project.Valor Roofing should be blacklisted from doing further business in ******** and any other state in my experienced opinion.

I am a realtor in ***********. The owner of Valor Roofing & construction, **** *********, called me to advertise his companys roofing services. He said his company was located in *****, **- which isnt true. I hired him to replace a ************** on a property we no longer own. The roof replacement was apart of the real estate contract between buyers and sellers. So sellers are obligated to replace the roof and gutters by law. The insurance company paid sellers for the roof replacement then paid **** a down payment to start the roof replacement. We had a meeting to discuss the details of the roof. **** had sellers sign a contract and then handed him a check. **** said the job was schedule to start the roof 1 week after paying him the deposit. He cashed the deposit check and we havent heard anything from him since. Ive called and emailed **** and his wife and his business serval times and no one ever replies.Business Response

I apologize for the delayed response. We are planning to do the work. That said we have to wait for the weather to cooperate. That area is in the heart of winter. We are very much in that area & did not lie as the customer accused.
We also need the customer to pay the entire agreed upon down payment. Two checks were sent. One was not signed. We will get the 2nd check back in the mail to the customer. Once signed & returned we can get the customer on the schedule first thing in the spring.

We went through our insurance company to get a new roof back in March of 2024 , ************ came knocking on our door saying their a good company and they could do our roof we would just need to contact our insurance and get them the money to do so and sign an contract , we signed the contract gave them the money from insurance and they never came out to do the work , they kept giving us the run around saying they would come out one week never showed up , for months , now we are completely blocked we cant call or text because the have blocked me and our husband and refusing to give us our ****** dollars back.Business Response

This customer will be receiving a refund as we will not be doing business with them. The original claim began in March as stated, however insurance did not pay out on the claim until July. We are a small business and try to coordinate our crews to an area with several jobs. Weather did not cooperate with that. The customer & his girlfriend who made this complaint began harassing multiple numbers to the tune of 40 plus calls a minute even after being spoken to manufacturing inaccurate timelines. Their numbers are not blocked thru us personally or the business line. They are blocked from sending nasty message thru our portal. We offered to drop the materials off at the customers home to show they were on our schedule they refused. We will not work with people who want to treat others like this.

I am rejecting this response because: as showed above they have been saying they would refund us if they didnt come out , and the time for them to come out , we reached out and they never responded and once again they have blocked me and my husband from even being able to contact them , also they contacted are insurance company asking them for the remainder of payment , and havent even attempted to come and do our roof , they are scammers so at this point until our money is in our hand we would like the case to stay open if possible. Also they have taken down their website as well from google.

I want to address each of these concerns individually. One the website is down because we are in process of working on an updated one and we werent happy with the current provider that we were using. Two the reason they are blocked from sending messages on our customer platform was due to the nature of harassing messages that were being sent. They are not blocked on our personal phones or the company phone. We are not scammers in any way shape or form. We reached out to the customers insurance prior to any of this going down to ensure that the products that they were requesting would be covered by their insurance so they wouldnt have to pay out-of-pocket. We had every intention of continuing to take care of the claim and explained to the customer on multiple occasions that we are a small business & we only have so-many crews. We have to coordinate to get them down there. If you feel the need to leave this open and until the customer receives a refund, that is fine they will be receiving a refund soon. Quite frankly, we do not understand what the craziness is for. We are an upstanding company who does a good job and what we do. Sometimes it takes a little longer due to our size, but the job is always done well.Customer Answer

The customer is currently still under legal binding contract with us. The refund will not be issued until a document is signed nullifying the contract which we are in process of working on. As a hard working contractor we have to be protected as well.
We will let the customer know when that document has been sent for signature & once returned & reviewed, it will begin the refund process.
As explained previously we are a small company. Thus the reason for the delay in completing the work. Had the customer been remotely workable & rational they would understand this.

We are happy to have one of our guys come inspect it. That said, this customers work was completed a year ago. There have been multiple severe storms in this area that have happened since completion. It is entirely possible his home sustained fresh damage.

Valor Roofing contracted with me to replace my roof in Oct 2023. I paid them a deposit of $12500. They never came out to replace the roof. I have been in contact with them via text and they have promised a refund but have now broken contact. The owner is Mr. **** ********* and I have been in contact with a lady named *****. I talked to a lawyer and the price to get a judgement is several tens of thousands that I might not even recoup. Please help.Business Response

We have been in full correspondence with Mr. ******* this whole time. Long story short, his contract was in the middle of a transition and letting employees go due to unethical behavior. We had to ensure that the former employees did not steal materials and or funds from the customer in order to purchase the product.
A partial refund has been given another partial refund will be given here probably next week and then the final here soon..

This company scammed us. They were supposed to replace our roof and gutters. We had our insurance adjusters come out to confirm roof damage after a hail storm. Our insurance company did confirm replacement of our roof. We received money from our insurance company , but we only paid valor roofing $2700.00 with a personal check for the roofing materials upfront. They have never come back. We have been in full communication with this customer. The customer is attempting to commit insurance fraud not paying for the necessary repairs as deemed per the insurance summary. We have attempted to refund their $2700 asking for written documentation of the cancellation of contract and the customer is refusing at this point. We are meeting with them next week to get a signature and provide a full refund as we refuse to operate without integrity. We do insurance repairs for what insurance provides and will not be a party to tax fraud.

Yes we have full intent of refunding this customer, we have just not been in the area. On multiple occasions, we have asked the customer to sign a release stating that the contract is canceled. They will only do it in person. That is the cause of the delay. I am hopeful we will have this wrapped up here refund sent.

However, at the time of contract, they had a Colorado Springs team that handled roofs in the area. The Colorado Springs Team completed the fence repair, in late Oct or early Nov. After that, apparently there was a falling out between the owner of Valor roofing (***************************) and the Colorado team resulting in **** firing them. No notice was given to me or when the roof could be completed. I have reached out numerous times via phone, text, and email to attempt to schedule a date or make a plan to get this roof replaced for the last 3 months. **** replied once via email with a vague response in early Dec of "we hope to take care of this sooner than later". What has the contractor done to resolve this: Besides the one vague message, **** has done nothing, and continues not to engage in any kind of communication. I understand that the winter season makes it difficult to do this kind of work and I am not asking for that. What I am asking for is a committed date or time frame that my roof will be completed so I know that this will not be forgotten.What do I want?: At this point, I want one of two things. Either **** contacts me with a solid timeframe / plan to replace my roof, or he refunds me my deposit minus the money it costed to replace the damaged fence (Cost was approx. $3500).I can provide the contract, a copy of the deposit check, dates of emails, calls texts, and his response if needed.Please help v/r *************************Business Response

The customer is correct that there was turnover due to financial crimes leading to termination and we are not doing business in ********* This is another disgruntled employee situation where they have used confidential customer files to reach out to customers after their termination. We did our best to protect and communicate with all customers during that time, however, there were a few that they reached first. We have been in full contact with this customer in regards to the inability to complete the work until the weather in their location was warm enough for the roof to seal and siding to be completed due to snow. Per the notes on the contract, we are waiting on response from the customer.
