I had my oil changed at Take 5 on March 14, 2025, at the *********************, ****, location. At my next oil change, at another shop, the technician informed me that the Take 5 tech had cross-threaded my oil pan drain plug. They tried to plug it for me, but the car leaked oil all night. I had to have it towed to my mechanic, where they replaced the oil pan. I also had to rent a car, so I had something to drive. The manager filed a claim with someone at the company on May 15th, and said they would reach out to me in a couple of days. It's been two weeks and no one has contacted me. I'm $1,100 into a repair that is their fault. I'm sure they have liability insurance, but they are ignoring me.

    Hello,

I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced after the service at Take 5 and the delayed response to your email. The shop that you visited at  ******************************************* is a Franchise location meaning it is privately owned and operated. This shop will handle all service failures themselves. I have asked the BBB team to send your complaint over to the right team to address and come to a resolution with you.

Paid for an oil change today at Take 5. Techs were very rude and seemed quite incompetent. As I was leaving I heard the bottom of my car scrape. I stopped and the tech guiding me out of the bay stated they left my skid plate down. The tech in the bay next to me then began yelling and screaming that it was like that when I pulled in. And that he did nothing wrong. I asked for a manager and was told they did not have one available. They then gave me a phony customer service number to call that was a disconnected number. I have tried calling their shop phone and no one answers. I also tried calling their corporate office where no one answered. Not only is my skid plate now bent from scraping the shop floor on the way out of the bay, but they secured it with one bolt and one zip tie when it requires 4 bolts to secure. They also refused to give me my 25% military discount because my husband was not present to show his military ID. That has never been an issue as long as I have been going to Take 5 oil change.
