    I purchased a GE gas dryer through ****** on 1/30/23 (order #*********). On 2/7 it was scheduled to be delivered through Forward Air Inc, a final mile delivery service. When they came to my home, they removed my washing machine and moved it to a different room to obtain access to the gas line. After attempting to install the unit, they claimed that my gas line was ******** said they were unable to complete the installation and that I'd need a plumber to repair the line OR an electrician to update my electric wiring to accommodate an electric model. They then marked the delivery as "refused" in their system. After they left, I smelled gas in my home which I assumed was lingering from their attempt to remove the line. The smell persisted for the rest of the day and into the next. I even felt lightheaded. I then contacted the gas company ******************** on 2/8/23 who came to my home and confirmed that there was a significant & active leak, which the delivery service never warned me about. The technician from the gas company told me that my gas line was not in fact corroded and that the installation team was not competent and didn't secure the base of the ****** properly and created a leak because of this. I then contacted ****** with a complaint and they ordered a refund for the unit at that time. After some back and forth with Forward Air, they claimed there was nothing they could do for me because the dryer was marked "refused" and I requested them to overturn that because it was only marked that was under false assumptions from their team. They told me that they'd contact their regional representative to do so and get back to me the following Monday, 2/20 at the latest. I contacted them three times that week (last being 2/23) & they never got back to me. I called ****** and GE on 3/6/23 to ask about my options and they told me there is nothing that can be done. So now I'm not only without a dryer, but without a working washer as well & am told no one can help.
