On November 1, 2021, D*** (one of the owners of City Builders) Came to my residents under the illusion that he would look at the issues on the project. Instead, he ended up threating to put a lien on my residents if I did not pay him. I told him I would pay when the job was complete. D*** then stated he would file a lien the next day and that I would also be responsible for all legal fees based on the contract he had with us. D**** stated he had done one that day and had no problem doing another the next day. What D*** did not know is that I still have that contract and the only initials or signatures on it are those of A*** (City Builders Employee). (Photo attached)I also was charged an extra $1907.13 for materials needed to finish the Job. I never received a change order for this.After discussion with my wife that night and the threat of legal action, I paid for the job in full on November2, 2021. I received and email for A*** stating they had got the payment and that they would be out to finish the work. It is now November 23, 2021, and the only thing they have did since getting payment in full, was come out and replace a piece of siding that had blown of the house. (Quality of workmanship is a completely different matter) They have still not come back to finish the original work. (Vent Photo Attached)The only reason I can see for them asking for payment in full for a job they have not finished is that City Builders may be in a financial situation. I would like you help in getting this project competed. On a side note, I have now picked up 43 nails, countless pieces of siding trim and 2 UTILITY KNIFE RAZOR BLADES OUT OF MY LAWN.
