On 5/18 Catequil Cattery ****** Forest Cats posted kitten availability with pics. I inquired about availability of specific black/white kitten. On 5/20 owner, ****************************************** sent email indicating kitten available. On 5/21 owner sent me copy of contract and instruction to send deposit of $350.00 if I agreed with contract. On 5/21 I sent owner deposit of $350.00 through Venmo. On 5/22 owner acknowledged receipt of deposit. On 5/30 owner emailed me pic of kitten with eyes opened. I received no further updates of kitten from owner after that pic. On 6/23 I went on the cattery ******** page and owner had posted a pic of black/white kitten new photo of available kitten; this kitten appeared to be the one I placed deposit on. I went back to newborn pics and the one I put deposit on had more narrow white area on face than other (the reason why I picked this kitten). This available kitten had narrow white area on face.On6/23 I commented under this pic. I was surprised, disappointed, requested update on this I was even ok with her relisting with a deposit refund. I sent owner email. Owners explanation was it was a pic of a different kitten than the one I chose. If so, why did she turn around and edit post of kitten to read New photo of sold kitten.At this point, I feel I cannot trust this seller. There is not usually this much confusion when purchasing a kitten. I have not received regular posts of kittens progress. At this point, there is no guarantee I would receive the kitten I put a deposit on.I am asking for a refund of my $350.00 deposit.
