My mother died on September 16, 2022. It has been especially difficult for me because Im autistic, and it takes me longer to process things than neuro-typicals. Its what makes me, me. I wouldnt change that for anything.What I would change is hiring Heartland Estates. **********, the owner of Heartland Estates assured me everything would be taken care of. The sale would take place just before Christmas and that he, has a guy that will come and clean everything out once the sale is over. I asked for clarification, informing him of my autism and processing time requirements. He said they would remove all items from the home and it would be cleared, but not cleaned. You might find a piece of paper left over, but that would be it. I asked if the curtains would stay, he laughed at me and said, yes. We also agreed that two specific areas would be untouched by anyone as they contained items I was unable to move before the sale.********** seemed helpful at such a stressful time, but not for long. From the moment I signed that contract, Mr. ************* changed. I had to constantly contact him for updates. After the sale my wife and I discovered all the items that were to remain in the home had been removed, including my mothers bedroom curtains. The house was a mess; we found junk everywhere.The clean-out person did return a few items, but the rest are gone. I took this to my lawyer, who confirmed ********** brought in the clean-out person, not me. They are his responsibility according to the law.I do have supporting documents, but they won't upload properly.
