I have had the opportunity to lease four (4) separate apartments in ****** managed by West Oahu Realty over a decade. My tenure as a tenant under their management was characterized by responsible conduct and respectful tenancy, as evidenced by a commendatory letter of reference provided by my landlord, *************************, affirming my consistent adherence to timely rent payments and property upkeep.During my transition to a new residence, I faced a significant obstacle while undergoing a routine background credit check through Experian. It was brought to my attention that West Oahu Realty had attempted to tarnish my credit history by entering fabricated information regarding my rental background via Appfolio. False claims were made, alleging a year-long delinquency in rent payments. This deceitful action not only imperiled my application for the new apartment but also posed a threat to any future credit evaluations impacting my livelihood. Despite maintaining an impeccable payment history spanning over ten years, I received neither explanation nor apology for the distress and personal hardship caused by this unwarranted interference.Upon reflection, I am appalled by the audacity of the individual responsible for this action. It is evident to me that this was a retaliatory act, given my consistent adherence to rental payment schedules. I hold suspicions that my landlord, D.C., whom I once attended church with, is behind this deceitful misinformation, amplifying the distress caused by this personal attack on my prospects. The lack of remorse or accountability displayed by West Oahu Realty concerning this matter is disheartening, indicative of poor business ethics that necessitate significant repercussions. I strongly believe such reprehensible behavior demands thorough investigation at the least should repercussions to prevent its recurrence in the future. Reimbursement of the cost of the credit check, an explanation, and an apology for now would be appreciated.
