    I accepted an offer to stay at the resort and agreed to attend a sales meeting. My husband got sick and could not travel with me. The offer was not cancellable or changeable so I came with a friend. I was not allowed to attend the sales meeting without my husband even though the offer and reservation were both in my name and we provided a doctors note. I checked out early because they were going to charge me an additional $3067 for the stay I had paid for in full 8 months prior ($849), for a total of $3916 for five nights. After providing a doctors note about my husbands illness, they reduced it a bit. They charged this to my credit card after I left, without my consent. We offered to have him attend via Zoom or FaceTime, or have my friend attend, but they would not allow me to attend either way. I incurred additional charges moving to another hotel, lost vacation days dealing with this, and countless hours trying to get them to resolve this. I was told many times people would get back to me, but that never happened. They had their money and that is all they cared about.
