Date of pest treatment: 11/25/2024 Amount due: $103.66 I never authorized echoshield pest solutions to enter my property and perform pest control services. I had an agreement with the company that I would call when I needed/wanted any services and they instead scheduled services on their own in which I never confirmed these services for this day. I was not even home at the time in which I am always home when prior services were done. I have called the company numerous of times and explained this to them and also notified them that I will not be paying for the services that were done on 11/25/2024 as I did not authorize this company to come to my home nor enter my property to do services. This company continues to call and bill me for this service that I refuse to pay. I have since cancelled any future services due to this situation and the unprofessionalism I have received from this company. They came knocking at doors and offer their business i said no and keep coming back so i said ok just for the initial service with a discount so they scheduled the date that day is raining hard so i asked their technician to move to another date but insist on doing so after their first visit i cancelled their service right away because of bad service and billing me with the whole year of serviceBusiness Response

5/31/2024: 2 technicians came for initial treatment and let us know they were flown in from ****** due to shortage of staff and were not trained and would be leaving the next day. Mentioned not being provided with the appropriate length pole to take down wasp nests and someone would have to follow up with us and schedule a separate date to come back. From start to finish, it took only 10mins total to "spray" the entire perimeter of the house and garage which was concerning.Reviewed contract at a later date which mentioned an initial inspection which we did not receive and was not mentioned by technicians.6/15 11:24am spoke with Rein - Let him know we have not received our full service and to please put a note on the account we will not submit payment until service is completed. Explained we did not receive the initial inspection and prefer to cancel the contract without any fees. 6/26 9am CJ - Called to cancel second treatment appointment (text is sent with a date/time of company's choice and there isnt a way to change/cancel without calling). When salesman sold the contract he mentioned someone would call each time to schedule. Spoke with ** to cancel second treatment and explained we prefer to cancel contract but he mentioned his department takes care of scheduling. 6/18 ************************* came to remove the wasp nests and we were told we should've had an initial inspection which is how they determine target areas and what needs to be treated. We asked him how long the first initial treatment meeting should take and he said at least an hour which should include inspection as well as treatment. Our initial "treatment" was 10 minutes with technicians who said they did not have any training and we did not receive an inspection. I am filing a complaint against EchoShield Pest Solutions for harassment and deceptive practices. Despite multiple attempts to cancel my services, I continue to receive demands for payment for unauthorized services.Issue Summary:In May, I requested to cancel my services. The technician informed me my account would be canceled. However, the ********************************** contacted me to persuade me to continue services instead of canceling my account. Despite my clear instructions, the local office did not close my account.They offered a $20 coupon to continue services and scheduled me for May 24th. The technician canceled, and I was notified on May 23rd. Despite this, they continued to harass me even though my contract had ended, and I had asked them to stop all communications.They rescheduled for June 8th, sending reminders on June 5th. I did not respond, believing my contract was canceled. Despite my instructions to stop, they continued to contact me.Their technician showed up on June 8th and treated my home. I should not have a balance due, as I had already asked them to stop my contract and provide no further services. I did not use the $20 coupon because canceling my contract would incur fees. Despite this, the agent assured me it would be the last service without further charges.Despite my requests to cancel, they insisted on crediting the $20 discount towards the balance I supposedly owe. This harassment must be addressed.Resolution Sought:Immediate cessation of all communications regarding any alleged due balance.Confirmation that my account reflects a zero balance.Formal acknowledgment that my services have been canceled without further charges.Supporting Documentation:Copies of email correspondences with EchoShield.Logs of phone calls and text messages received.I request that the BBB investigate this matter and take appropriate action to prevent further injustices to other consumers.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Business Response

I manage a care team for an 86 year old woman, *****************, who lives by herself in ********, **. I instructed a caregiver, *********************, to find a pest control service and instructed him to negotiate a year contract. The invoice was for $1269.67 and we were instructed to send the check to their ********* address. We followed their instructions. The check was cashed on 3/6/24. EcoShield sent multiple letters that the bill was not paid. We responded with a picture of the cashed check. EcoShield then stopped the service and is sending letters that we owe them money. They are at minimum incompetent and may be engaging in unscrupulous behavior designed to steal from a seniior citizen.Business Response

On 4/19/24 I had an appointment with Echoshield Pest Solution to spray our outside & inside of our house for any insects. My appointment was between 8:30 to 10:30 am this morning. No one showed up while I was home all morning with my neighbor who was outside all morning with his cameras looking over my front of the house & shows no one came. The company is saying the guy came around 9:00 am & spayed outside of the house. Also I just found from my neighbor that when they spay toward his side of our house that no solution is coming out. Im very disappointed to find this issue has been occurring.Business Response

Four times they came and tried to say I wasnt home. On time they at least gave me a courtesy call before leaving so I was able to tell them Im home, Ive been waiting(12/16/22). Another time I caught the technician walking away so I told her Im home and Ive been expecting them(9/30/22). The last two times they just say I didnt answer the doorbell when multiple people were home and wouldve heard if it rang (2/25/23, 4/28/23) So, when that happens, they just spray my front door and leave. 6 linear feet of insecticide, when I am expecting an interior spray as well. And I still pay the full price of $120. I live in a townhouse so I would not sign up for the service if theyre just going to spray my door. Because this has happened multiple times, this leads me to believe they train their technicians to just show up and leave as fast as possible so they can say theyve dont the service and automatically charge you, knowing they wont offer the refund. When *** asked for a refund, they just say sorry and want to reschedule for a proper service. They make it so hard and customer service is terrible that I just want to cancel my account. *** told them many times that I am busy working during their work hours so email works best. They just keep sending me emails to call them or even calling me and leaving a message when they know I cant answer. I think thats because if they speak on the phone theres no paper trail or proof of what is being said. After all the fuss and loss of trust, I just want to cancel my account and cut ties with them. Apparently, without doing it for the full amount of services that would breach my contract and I would have to pay more money ($183). I am already in the hole $240 for services I did not receive and they want me to pay more to cancel their inadequate service?Personally l think, not providing the service expected is a breach of contract, and then they have the audacity to still charge me instead of offering a refund.Business Response
