    My mom had a funeral plan that was paid for around ****. Since she passed, ******************** called me to meet with the to arrange funeral plans. They mentioned the meeting should be fast and should take about an hour since she wanted to be cremated. My wife and I met with the planner *** at 9:30am on September 16. Meeting lasted about 45 minutes but she needed to leave the office to figure out cost comparison from the funeral plan to current cost (this is my understanding). We waited for an hour then decided to find ask whats happening. She said sorry but shes having computer problems. By 11:45 I had to leave for another appointment so I asked someone to check. The person asked where do we have to go? On September 23 I signed the document. After talking to my moms cousin we canceled some of the arrangements since she mentioned why were we dealing with Valley since her plot is with Hawaiian Memorial(HM)Three days before the funeral *** called to tell me that the flower arrangement ($400+) will be delivered by 9:30 on Oct 17. Funeral starts at 10:00. At 9:45 I called to find out where it was. Spoke with ****** and he said he will check and call me back in 5 minutes. He never called back. On Oct 19 I called and manager said it was here and they can deliver it to the gravesite. Thats not acceptable so I want my money back. They finally said they will credit my credit card in December (thats 2 months later). Nothing else will be refunded or compensated even though it was part of her plan. Also, after the funeral the obituary was supposed to be announced in the newspaper since it was private. My wife went to Valley several weeks later to find out whats the status. They said they promise to call her back. To this day it has not been published even with multiple calls to Valley. The delay by *** was apparently caused by an overpayment of **** for a flag property that didnt exist. On Oct 27 ****** called to say Char would be in touch for the refundcrickets!!

    It started out pretty nice. The staff seem very caring and supportive.Once you leave their office, you become forgotten. ******************* and **** were our initial coordinators. We were told to call should we have any questions. It was difficult to get a hold of them. We had deadlines to coordinate with the church for my fathers funeral service/mass and we couldnt get a straight answer from ****.We requested to have the viewing at 9am instead of 10am. We confirmed with **** that the casket will arrive by 9am. The casket did not arrive until 1020am. We had 25 minutes of open casket viewing, which included family and guests. My mom was devastated.The information to move the delivery time of the casket was never communicated to the funeral director.I called Valley of the temple to complain. I was told their Regional Manager, ******************* was going to call me that day or at the latest the next day. Its been a few weeks since the burial. To this day, I have not received a call from anyone from Valley of the temple.I feel Valley of the temple and its employees do not care about the grieving families. They only care how much money they can make from you.
