    Hello,I paid for a membership with World Discovered Pacific, for "up to 50% off flights and hotels," on their exclusive website, and a "7 night FREE stay in Europe or ******, I feel like I was forced to buy the cheap membership so they can get their commission. I have been unable to redeem ANY of these. When you call their membership line, you are forced to leave a message. But - no one calls me back. Literally - after dozens of calls, NO ONE has ever called me back. And when you call the regular customer service line for WDP - they're "unable" to transfer me to member services. I have spent HOURS waiting on lines, getting zero help from "concierge" call centers for WDP - and this is a total waste of my time because I've gotten nowhere. I would like a full refund and they can KEEP THEIR NON-EXISTENT FREE STAYS. I want my money back or a solution to this.

    We are unsure as to what number you are dialling, but we have not recorded any voicemails from your registered numbers, and we don't see any emails received to any of our World Discovered Pacific email accounts from your registered email addresses.

    We have attempted to call a few times over the past week but keep going straight to voicemail with the message "this person has a voicemail that has not been set up yet" therefore we are unable to leave you a message.

    A manager has emailed you today 8/14/23 from ****************************************** to try and assist with your gift redemptions. Please reply there at your earliest convenience. We will of course honor all gifts promised at time of purchase and we would be happy to provide you with a tutorial to ensure you are able to recreate the great deals as shown in the presentation.

    Hello,I paid $999 for a membership with World Discovered Pacific, for "up to 50% off flights and hotels," on their exclusive website, and a "7 night FREE stay in Europe," plus a "4 night free stay in select hotels in *********** year later, I have been unable to redeem ANY of these.     However, it is only upon complaint that they actually called me and did the right thing.  I would urge them to change their business practices and do right by those who sign up and pay for their "free" trips.

    On 1/4/2023 I participated in a Zoom webinar for a hotel membership (get cheaper rates than any 3rd party hotel apps). They promised that you would find cheaper rates to ANY hotel for ANY destination! They showed hotels in ********* **, *******, ******, *****, Mexico, etc. Very appealing. The cost of the membership I chose was $3999(down payment $1000) and pay the remaining balance monthly ($191.30). Ive checked the hotel rates and they are not cheaper than 3rd party apps. *** tried using it when I went to ****** in January and the room I reserved on the 3rd party app was cheaper than it was with this membership and I ended up reserving with the 3rd party app and not with this membership. I specifically purchased this membership because they promised that I would find a cheap hotel for my ****** trip. They even showed me a hotel during the webinar, but when I tried looking after the webinar, that hotel was nowhere on the website. And as I was looking for other hotels, they were all expensive and with extra hidden fees. I want a refund. I was lied to. This membership and company is fraudulent and very misleading! I have not and will not ever use it! Please help!

    (1) We require our travel advisors to utilize their own  membership accounts when displaying the service and showing examples to ensure everything is being delivered as sold. That's why we can guarantee every example shown in the presentation can be recreated. With all due respect, you have only logged into this service 4 times since you signed up while our travel advisors have been navigating the membership platform daily for years. We are confident in the benefits we offer and we would be happy to provide you with some guidance so you can navigate just like them.

    (2) Regarding your price comparison to a ****** hotel, you told ** via direct email that you were looking at our current price compared to the rate on a booking you had already placed in the past. Per our understanding, you were not comparing our current rate to a public CURRENT rate. Please be advised that rates always increase as check in dates get closer. Therefore comparing our current rate to a past booked rate is an invalid way of running a price comparison.

     

    We would be happy to offer you a downgrade to the 10-year membership with the option to upgrade back to lifetime later once you've had a chance to actually get more familiar with the service and benefits but we stand behind our service promises and maintain that all sales are final.

    This service was unable to be used. I have attempted to call for a request to cancel and refund anything paid out and they have refused. This has then been placed on my credit at more than triple the amount discussed at the time I signed up.

    We appreciate your patience awaiting a response to this complaint.

    We are a little confused by the statement ************* was unable to be used".

    Our records show that you purchased a membership in November 2018. At that time, you agreed to a repayment agreement and acknowledged Monterey would be responsible for the collection of your loan and would take necessary measures to collect should you default.

    In January 2019, you defaulted on your loan after making only one payment and your loan eventually was sent to collections with accruing interest.

    In October 2019, even after you had defaulted on your loan, you scheduled and received a call from the reservations center and were provided with cruise quotes and options for travel.

    Our records show you were able to login to and accessed your membership account multiple times during your first year of service.

    You did not renew after the first year and your account is currently dormant but it is absolutely an active membership account and was physically available for booking throughout your first year of service.

    All services have been fulfilled and we cannot offer cancellation at this time. We would be happy to collect your original owing balance directly to close the accumulating collections account as an alternative offer. You would avoid paying the accumulated interest that has been left to grow over the years.

    This service was used and unable to be used. Iv attempted to call for a request to cancel and refund anything paid out and they have refused. Theirs has then been placed on my credit and needs to be removed an employee joked about how it would be on my credit. Iv not been able to get a home with out a place to live because this is sitting on my credit the services has never ever been used before at all nor do I want to participate. I stated that this was a site that wasnt. Working for me and I wanted nothing to do with it. I only request for it to be removed immediately from my credit Report entirely.

    We would not be able to refund you for anything paid because you have never made a payment towards the loan that you took out to purchase the membership.


    You purchased this membership in May 2021, received gifts, and support resources, and agreed to start making payments in a financing agreement beginning July 2021. Our records show that you logged in a handful of times in June and only once in July. And never reached out for assistance with membership benefits.


    You left a message with us in May 2022, requesting cancellation/voiding of your financing agreement since you had since fallen into collections. We tried to call you back a few days later, left a message and sent you an email to assist you with your concerns and provide some guidance with your benefits.


    There has been no response from the consumer.


    We are confident that the membership works as promised and there is no issue on the account suggesting the member experienced any issue with the services and benefits. We are unable to cancel the membership for this reason.


    The member currently owes the balance plus collections fees. To resolve this complaint, we would be happy to get in touch directly, collect the original owing balance only in a lump sum payment, and void the accumulating collections fees and close the collections account.

    The company has automatically drafted my credit card account for the annual fees for the past 3 years when it should have only been the first year. I called to complain in 2021 and they said they would no longer draft my account, however, they drafted my account two more times. They drafted my account on December 2, 2022 and I called today and spoke to someone. I requested a credit to my account in addition to discontinue drafting my account for the annual fees. Please help!

    Our records show that ********************** made a renewals payment on 7/19/2019 and at that time, the "auto-renewal" was turned on. 

    She was then charged automatically once (1x) on 12/2/2021 and then once more (1x) on 12/2/2022.

    Our records that ********************** has already spoken to the renewals department manager and they were happy to accommodate for whatever miscommunication arose that caused this and the unexpected charges are being reversed, as well as member is being removed from auto renewal.

    I was contacted by this company about discounted travel. Ive searched their site numerous times and found there was no discount Ive had several interactions with their employees who also did searches never have they ever been able to find discounts I started reading reviews and found out that this company is a fraud I stop paying and ask them to stop taking out of my account now they have put something on my Credit. ****************** continues to harass me I owe them a total of $250

    Per our records, Ms. ****** purchased an unlimited access 10-year membership with World Discovered Pacific on March 23, 2021.

    Our control panel shows Ms. ****** only logged in one (1) time on April 14, 2021.

    Our control panel does not show any history of interactions between the member and our concierge team who assist our members with reservations.

    We don't show any record of emails or phone calls between Ms. ****** and *************** (member services) team.

    Based on this complaint and our findings, respectfully, Ms. ****** you made a decision based on very little evidence and possibly off another product or service and decided to default on your loan. The repercussions of defaulting on a loan include being sent to collections and collections accounts are reported to the credit bureau.

    We cannot offer a cancellation at this time but you only have 2 payments left with ********. We recommend you make those payments to ******** (877-775-3080and then call *************) or email us ******************************************** and we would be very happy to provide you with live examples and booking support for you to take advantage of with your membership as promised.

    In September of 2019 we went on vacation to ****** and during our stay we were approached by World Discovered Pacific, LLC representative. This company has falsely provided information to ** and because we were on vacation they took advantage of our vulnerability as a tourist. My credit score has dropped because they are on my credit making it hard for me to move on in life. World Discovered Pacific, LLC has falsely entrapped me into paying on a contract that has been falsely presented to me and my wife. I do not owe this company anything and I have been dealing with this since the ***** 19 Pandemic and I am filing a complaint because of harassment and false entrapment to gain money based on tourist vulnerability.Thanks,****************************************

    We have provided zero false information to this member.

    Per our records, Mr. ***** ******************* purchased a membership with our company in September 2019, and signed in person, all documents relating to the agreement as well as the financing application documents to open an account with our financial services provider ****************** to finance the purchase of the membership. The exchange was completed, their account was set up, they received copies of all documents, their gifts and had all necessary access to login to their account and use it to the fullest extent upon leaving the meeting.

    There is no record in our system of this party attempting to contact the reservations center or head office for any kind of support/concern/comment/attempted cancellation since September 2019 up until now (November 2022).

    Login records do show that the member logged in a handful of times after the date of sale, confirming they were able to access the account.

    The member made no payments on their loan, defaulted and walked away from it. As per the agreement at time of sale, if an account goes into default, it is sent to collections. ****************** is attempting to collect a debt from you and it is reporting to the credit bureaus.

     

    As a courtesy, we may be able to convince ******** to reverse your collections account should you agree to restart regular payments and pay the account on time. This would remove any negative credit reporting. Our membership team would also be happy to connect with you and help you utilize the great benefits and deals available to members so you can start seeing value with your account.

    I received an email that I will receive free gifts and extremely cheap luxury hotel bookings if I Was to attend a webinar for 45 minutes (purchase not required).     I invested in World Discovered Pacific in 2018. They locked me in a monthly of around $300 a month over a year. The interest rates even though I paid it off quicker was outrageous and I ended up spending over $8,000. When I was trying to pay it off and get rid of my 3 year contract, they offered me to extend 3 year into lifetime member. I said, well I already lost soo much money that I would just pay the extra $600 and keep it in my back pocket for a lifetime. I called and confirmed a month later that I was still a lifetime member. Flash forward to 2022, they wont answer my calls, my membership login doesnt work, it says Im not a member, and Ive yet to receive anything for my $8,000 spending .

    Our records do not reflect a payment plan of "around $300 a month over a year". Based on our records, your monthly payments were ~$82/month and the total balance to pay off was only $2800 (with interest coming to a little under 4K). This was the cost of purchasing the 5-year membership service. We are currently reviewing records to confirm the Lifetime sale adjustment as noted.

    We received an email from you this Saturday 10/1 stating you were unable to login.

    We have now responded today, first thing Monday 10/3 since our HI support office is closed on weekends, advising you that since you never paid any annual renewal fees,therefore your account has been dormant since the 1-year **** on your first year had passed. We have provided the contact information to you already if you would like to renew.
