    Zephyr insurance has been very difficult to work with in getting a claim paid. I had an incident on 2/10/23 and they refuse to pay the claim without getting either meeting minutes from my association or a release for further property damages from my association. The association refuses to sign the release and the incident was never discussed in the meeting minutes. Seems like Zephyr just doesn't want to pay the claim. The association GM says that "In all my years doing this, I've never had an insurance company ask what yours is asking for to payout on a claim."I would be cautious about using Zephyr for insurance with this attitude.

    *************  I apologize for the difficulty with your claims process.  I can assure you that Zephyr is doing everything we can to help find coverage on the policy, and to assist in obtaining the documents needed to settle the claim.  In this matter we asked your association's board and/or general manager on multiple occasions to provide the appropriate documentation and explained why it is needed so that we can settle the claim. At this point Zephyr has not denied the claim, but continues to try to obtain the documentation needed to settle it as quickly as possible.  We have brought in 3rd party experts who are experts in our ****** condo market to speak with your association and educate them on what is needed and that the documents we are requesting are not unusual, but regular and customary.  Unfortunately,up to this point the association or the association's management has failed to provide the documentation showing that they have assessed you the deductible that we need to make payment.  As a solution to the issue of them not providing the documentation or possibly failing to properly assess the deductible to you, we offered the association the opportunity to sign a general property damage release to receive payment.  Up to this point, the **** has refused all efforts by Zephyr to collect the needed documentation to pay.


    Please reach out to your adjuster so we can continue to work to have this claim settled for you as quickly as possible.

    I attempted to get information on the Zephyr policy I've had for the past 8 years. It was only through my persistence over three days that I finally got someone who could answer my questions. I tried to sign up for their website but was told that it doesn't work. Makes me very concerned if Zephyr will be there if I need to make a claim after a hurricane, especially if everyone will be calling them at once. It appears to be a Liberty Mutual company but Liberty Mutual defers to Zephyr for ****** hurricane insurance. That concerns me too as LM seems to be keeping Zephyr at arms length. If there is a hurricane - will Zephyr just fold up?

    Aloha ****.  ****** for reaching out.  I apologize for the issues you had getting in touch with an agent to assist you with you questions.  I was happy to learn that our underwriting manager received your request for help and was able to get an agent at Liberty Mutual to contact you.  I want to assure you that Zephyr hold our agents to the highest standards to respond to clients in a timely manner and your experience is not typical for a Zephyr insured. 

    We have brought up the response issues with the management at Liberty Mutual and they have made recent updates to their processes to prevent your experience from repeating.  At anytime you can reach out to Zephyr directly and we can facilitate the communication with your agent to make the experience better.

    Our underwriting manager has reached out to you today to help you with getting set up on our website.  I'm sorry for any issues that are preventing you from signing up but we are here to help you get set up.

    As for Hurricane response, I assure you that Zephyr is well prepared to assist you in the event of a claim.  We have a large local staff that is prepared to answer your questions and help you with resolving your claim quickly.  We also have contracts in place with local claims adjusting firms to be able to scale up should a storm cause massive widespread damage.  As ******** largest Hurricane insurance provider we take this responsibility seriously.  When you speak with our underwriting manager I encourage you to ask questions about our claims response as we are happy to share.

    Zephyr is a ****** based company and is not owned or managed by Liberty Mutual.  *********************** with Zephyr to offer Hurricane insurance for their ****** clients to make sure they have the best protection possible.  Liberty Mutual acts as your agent and representative for the Zephyr Insurance policy.

    I also want to put you at ease about our financial well being.  Zephyr has been around since the year ****. We are audited by the Insurance Commission of ****** and have been found to be financially strong and certified to do business in ******.  Additionally, we received a financial stability rating of "A' (A Prime) - Unsurpassed" form Demotech, one of the highest rating available.  Zephyr will be here before, during, and after the storm or unexpected loss.

    Zephyr has been my carrier through Geico for a few years now from my renters to homeowners policy. They noticed I paid both policies and reached out to provide a refund for the policy I no longer needed. Mahalo!
