    I made a purchase on 5/10/21 through the ****** ***** App. The total cost was $606.69. I was charged and have proof. I made another purchase for $180.83 and again was charged and have proof. On 10/24/21, an additional $787 was debited from my account. That morning I received an email from ****** and *****, 5 months after the original purchases saying after an audit we discovered we never charged you AFTER they had taken the money. No call. No notice. They just came and took money. I called and requested a copy of their policy on audits and customer notification, their billing practices, and returns and for a supervisor to call me. I called 10/24, 10/25, 11/1, 11/2, and 11/4 and to this date, nothing. On 10/25 I told them I have confirmation from my bank that they received payment and I was charged already and asked where could I send it so they could refund my money. They still have not provided me with a response. I asked why do they not contact the customer first, notify of the error, let them know when the money will be charged IF the error is correct. How can they just come back 5 months later after an "Audit" and discover they didn't receive payment and go into someone's account and take money. Did they verify that maybe in their accounting practices the payment just didn't post to their register however it was charged and payments received. They have taken this money TWICE and illegally. From what i could find NOTHING on their site notifies customers that we may audit our accounts up to xx amount of time after a purchase and if we discover a payment was not received, we will notify you by (whatever method) and charge the funds again. If you believe this is an error, you may contact xxx within x days. Nothing at all to that effect to notify customers of this fraudulent billing practice. I could understand if this where a return payment situation. It's not! For online purchases, items are not even shipped until AFTER payment. So why is it 5 months later?

    Dooney doesn't deserve 1 star. They have the absolute worst customer service. I ordered a purse on 12/10/23, and their system changed the color from Ivy to Black. I tried to get them to cancel or exchange the purse and they would not. They only offer to return it for your money back and pay full price for the correct color. I immediately notified them via cha on 12/10/23, after placing the order and seeing the color was changed. I also called the 12/11/23 to get it changed or canceled. They told me you cannot cancel orders once placed and they cannot change it. Then they proceeded to take 2 weeks longer to send me my item so I could not return and get it at the lower price. I have been a Dooney and Bourke customer since I was a child. I will never do business with this company again. They do not care about customer service or customer satisfaction. Do NOT shop with ************************** or their Dooney App! You will be completely disappointed. I had way more respect with ***** Dooney, but not anymore!
