It is my belief that Kamaaina Motors Service Department is responsible for the loss of my Vehicle due to shoddy work. More specifically Master Mechanic **** ***** and Service Representative **** ***** have demonstrated a continued disregard for truthfulness and professionalism. Master Mechanic *****, whether through negligence or hubris failed to replace the requisite amount of Transmission Fluid while in the process of the engine replacement work order. Although it is stated time and again in the Parts Departments estimates, that Transmission Fluid $60 would be needed. Transmission fluid was not replaced or topped off per Master Mechanic ***** notes in the final bill of sale. Service Representative ***** informed me on Aug 16 at 2:30pm, of the Master Mechanic ***** inspection of the Transmission. His findings were, the transmission’s fluid pump failed and leaked into the bell house which caused the failure of the Transmission. I had provided the image of the Transmission on Aug 11 to Mr.*****, that showed the leak was from middle bolt on the fluid pan he said that he consult Mr. *****. But I should be happy because they happened to have the exact Transmission that I needed in stock. I restated that I would like to have the Inspection notes and estimate emailed to me.I did not receive the notes or the estimate via email. What I did get was a photo of the estimate via text message. I believe that the lowered transmission fluid caused a buildup of heat and pressure in the Transmission. It was due to these circumstances that caused the eventual failure of the fluid pan gasket. As seen in the photo that I took Aug 10th. Under the advice of legal counsel we are asking that the BBB please mediate this complaint. I am seeking restitution in the amount of $55,959.98 This amount covers the cost of the engine replacement, subsequent car rentals, and the purchase of the current vehicle.
