    We have been, and plan to continue being, very conscientious and timely with our *** ****. The stumbling block is the mystery charges that apparently came on our account from the former property management company, Silver Leaf. We have reached out to them without response. Top Shelf has advised us to pay our dues of $485 which we have done, promising to address the issue with Silver Leaf separately. Now Top Shelf is assessing monthly late fees.

    Hi ****

    We want to apologize for the confusion with your account ledger. First, we would like to address the late fees assessed on 4/30 and 5/30 of this year. That was a system settings error. We are unsure why some homeowners were assessed an ongoing late fee, and an incorrect late fee at that. We have deleted these fees from your account.

    Separately, we had to work with Silverleaf to obtain ledgers with more history. Top Shelf only received 2024 financial data during the transition, so we were unable to answer to the charges prior to 1/1/24. We were able to retrieve your ledger dating back to 2020 (see attached). Based on this ledger, it looks like you were late in paying your 2021 assessment, so you were assessed a $25 late fee; however, it looks like 2022, 2023 and 2024 were all paid on time, but they still assessed a late fee, maybe by mistake. With that said, we will remove the late fees that shouldnt have been charged, and we will waive the $25 late fee from 2021 as a courtesy for the inconvenience.

    There is still, however, a late fee on your account for this year as we did not receive payment until 4/10. That leaves a balance on your account of $48.50. You can make a payment either by mailing a check to our office or logging into your online portal and paying by direct deposit or credit card.
