This is an email letter I wrote to 1st Franklin Financial:I received postal mail today congratulating me and welcoming me to 1st Franklin Financial.The problem is: I NEVER took out a loan with 1st Franklin. I checked my ********** account and there is NO check deposited from Franklin. On the letter I received, there's a loan account number: ********** Payment due date: 08/30/2025 Payment amount: $125.12 I did call Franklin and gave this same info to a representative, to which that representative asked me for my SOCIAL Security number!!!!! If I had taken out a loan YOU would have that info! Financed a vehicle thru 1st Franklin finance in June, 2024. Vehicle was hit by deer dec 20, 2024. Vehicle declared total loss dec ******* by ins ** and paid car off in total.Ins ** requested title to be submitted before submitting check. 1st Franklin **uld not find title and requested that I **ntinue making pymts until they **uld locate the title.Ins ** said no pymts were due as auto was paid off in full. 1st Franklin reported to credit bureau that I was late paying for several months which caused my credit s**re to drop by 140poiints. Not my fault they **uld not find title. 1st Franklin reported the ac**unt as paid off as a loss in July 2025 , but it still negatively my credit s**re. I attempted to purchase a vehicle in aug, 2025 and was declined due to credit s**re.I want my credit s**re to be restored to the upper 700's, all late pymts removed and the acct declared as paid as agreed.Business Response

Im having financial difficulties because of my employer and my own health problems that Im considering and in the process of filing chapter 7 bankruptcy. On July 30th at 9:32 AM, I received a call from a number *************) claiming to be 1st Franklin Financial, allegedly from ************, ** location on **************. The caller immediately addressed me by name and asked me to confirm my identity. As a general rule, I do not confirm personal details with unfamiliar or unsolicited callers, so I declined.Without further verification, the caller then requested my Social Security Number, which I refused to provide. I promptly ended the call due to the suspicious nature of the ************** ensure no fraudulent activity was occurring in my name, I called the number back. A woman answered but refused to identify herself. She was, however, able to address me by name by looking up my phone number. She then referenced an account he had opened, but refused to give any further information since I wouldnt confirm my SSN. I am female, and this discrepancy alone should have raised immediate red flags in any identity verification process.This situation appears to involve either a fraudulent impersonation or inadequate identity verification practices by 1st Franklin. I did not initiate any loan applications or open any accounts with this company. I am demanding clarification on:Whether this was a legitimate outreach from 1st Franklin If so, how my information was acquired Whether a fraudulent account has been opened in my name If this is indeed a case of identity theft or misuse of my personal information, I expect the matter to be immediately investigated and resolved, and I reserve the right to pursue appropriate compensation for any resulting damages.Please treat this as urgent.Business Response

I called to settle a previous account open with the company.I was notified by company that they sold my account . I called the number given First premier (**** *****) stated he was suing me on the behalf of first Franklin .. loan amount around $3500 and court fees total $17000. I told representatives that I would *** to settle the situation we stated 1st Franklin agreed then within the conversation he stated it was closed and he was going to proceed with court filings against me. My complaint is 1st Financial sold my account without me given the opportunity to rectify the situation then threatened to sue me.
