I just became aware of fraudulent charges on my **** from Hot Worx North Plano via theSquare.comapp. I visited the *********** location in December and declined to get a membership after the one complimentary class. I never set foot in Hot Worx after that class. I do know that the gal that helped me on that initial visit left the company shortly thereafter as I called Hot Worx a few weeks after that Dec visit to see if they would waive the $99 enrollment fee and was told no.... So, she must have started charging my credit card illegally since I never signed a membership agreement. I was adamantly opposed to both the enrollment fee as well as the 90-day commitment. I have spoken with *********** and advised them that I would inform you of the fraudulent charges as I am proceeding with a formal dispute. I have also contacted the corporate office to make them aware of what is happening at this *********** location. Quite easy to verify that I have never been back to that location as there will be no record of me entering via the 24 hour access.I cannot send this message to the *********** location as their website will not allow it to be sent so I am posting it here. Please contact me asap to get this resolved. My card has been charged 4 times:12-27 *****, 1-2 *****, 2-3 ***** and pending now *****.Thank you,**** ******* ************

******, the manager at ************************ (for only a few months btw) has now illegally charged my credit card for 3 months (October, November and December 1) I have documentation that I cancelled my membership, both via text and in writing with a letter personally delivered to the prior manager. I have documentation from the prior manager that I was only required to make one more $84 payment, which I did September 1. And yet, ****** cares about none of this documentation and continues to commit fraud in bad faith. She has personally ignored all of my legally binding written documentation and continues her fraudulent acts. I have reported the business and her personally to the ************************ as repeated violations of the Fair Credit Billing Act.

I started a fitness contract with HotWorks in 2022. I paid the enrollment fee ($99.00), and the membership fee ($60.00 a month). After being a member for over a year, I decided to cancel my membership due to financial hardship and that extra expense. I was told I could cancel at any time. When I actively tried to cancel, they said I had to pay two additional months totaling $120.00 to end my membership or a $99.00 Flat Rate fee to cancel immediately. It has occurred to me this company is very dishonest, and I have been taken advantage of!! I want the money I was charged for canceling my membership returned and for this company to stop taking advantage of people and be honest about their "outrageous" cancelation fees.

I started a fitness contract with HotWorks. I paid the enrollment fee ($99.00), and the membership fee ($60.00 a month). I was then told I had to purchase their products (yoga mat, towel, bands, etc.) to be able to use their facilities, totaling an additional $180.00. After being a member for eight months, I decided to cancel my membership, which I was told I could do at any time. When I actively canceled, they said I had to pay two additional months totaling $108.00 to end my membership. It occurred to me this company is dishonest. I have been taken advantage of, and I want the money I was charged for canceling my membership returned.

I have been trying to cancel my membership but hotworx makes it impossible to do this. I am out of state so I cannot go back in person to cancel my membership. They also lock you in for about 5 months and make it incredibly difficult to cancel. I have tried to find an email or phone number so I can speak with corporate or support but they dont have that. I sent an email to the location manager and she didnt help me at all. Im paying $65 a month for nothing and I cannot afford a $700 ticket to fly back to the state where I have the membership. My membership should also be $59 but I pay $65 a month.

The Hotworx cancellation policy is intentionally designed to keep members locked in and paying as long as possible. Management blatantly lies to members about anything and everything to benefit their bottom line. They are leading people into believing that they are locked into a 6 month contract. In fact, it is an 8 month contract. They require a 60 day notice AFTER you complete the 6 month contract. Or you can pay $99 but you have to stop using the facility immediately. They put up several roadblocks to stop members from canceling. For example, the contract states that a member go to the facility and sign a form to cancel. However, they do not allow all employees to provide this form to members. Only one person at the facility that is only available Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM can give you the form to cancel. I asked more than one person at the facility to cancel my contract and I was told I needed to email the manager. Upon emailing the manager, I was told I needed to come back to the facility.I attempted to cancel my membership following the rules of my contract but the rules changed at least 3 times before I could actually cancel. Eventually, I had to send a $9 certified letter from two blocks away just to cancel my contract. This was after approximately 2 to 3 weeks of trying to cancel my contract.Management does an extremely poor job of communicating to members. Questions go unanswered and complaints are dismissed. There are no apologies and no acknowledgment. Even the Regional Manager was unhelpful, rude, and dismissive. I have emails of our exchange.I would like a refund of the payment I made on February 1. I canceled my contract and I am no longer using the facility but I was charged for an entire month instead of the difference between the $99 fee and the $59 that was already paid.
