      I went in on 07-08-25 for an oil change as this is the location I always go to for my car. My car is a Prius hybrid. At the time of the appointment my mileage was around REMOVEDmi as this was the one they gave me. After the service the new date was set for REMOVEDmi. My car is currently at REMOVEDmi on Oct. 3.25 I pulled out of my drive way driving at 25mph . Barely 1000ft from my house I heard a loud pop and my oil pressure sensor and danger emergency signal comes on. I stop and turn around. The Saturday we called to let them know that my oil filter came off and that it seems that you ever has worked on the vehicle did not properly checked or installed the oil filter properly. I couldve been hurt or my engine could be damaged due to this. They immediately shift blame saying its been 3 months since my oil change when all they provided was the mileage to me not a date. There was no oil in my engine and they told us if I wanted them to look at it I had to service my car which is to get oil filter and oil myself or from a different company or tow my car to them. They didnt offer any other options or ask my condition or the cars. There was no due diligence on there part in acknowledging that the fault could be from their install. No accountability was made towards my situation now my car engine could have some issues. They didnt even offer to come and look at it to make sure it was not what they thought it was. It is in the middle of the week and no follow up from them was made. I ended up buying my own oil filter, my own 5 quartz of oil and getting service on my car. I had to get someone to take me around to do this I was unable to work for two days.

      On October 4th I received a called from a gentleman stating he is Ms REMOVEDfather called to state his daughter was driving, and heard a thud and then her lights came on and she brought the vehicle home. He stated he checked and there was no filter and we must not have installed the filter correctly.

      Both myself and the shop manager was on the phone with this gentleman - it was explained to him that we would be happy to check the vehicle out, but he would need to get the vehicle to us, either by having it towed  or since he said there was no filter by replacing the  filter and driving it to us. He stated that it was our responsibility since we did the oil change. The gentleman was told we cannot claim responsibility the oil change was done July 8th 2025, the odometer reading going out was REMOVEDthe next oil change would have been due 10/08/2025 or REMOVEDwhichever came first. Based on the miles listed on the complaint it was past due the oil change. It was also explained to the gentleman that it is unlikely that the oil filter would have waited that long to come loose, additionally all the oil would have dumped out making the vehicle immediately inoperable and based on the fact that the oil filter is located in the middle of the vehicle and she was driving she would not have driven  over it and it is unlikely it would have made a popping noise. He was again given the option of bringing the vehicle in to be checked out but he ranted, threatened and hang up. Not exactly sure why it would take 2 days to get the oil change that was needed. As a business we try to do right by our customers unfortunately it is not always enough

      Just as a side bar - this vehicle has had 4 oil changes with us 1st. - April 12, 2024,   2nd August 3rd 2024 at which time we noted that a "flashing pressure sensor" was illuminated this was noted for the customer, 3rd visit was March REMOVEDat this point there was a check engine light on and the computer scan pulled 2 codes this was told to customer who said she had recent repair done and 4th visit was July 8. 2025. Obviously we are not the only shop that sees this vehicle.
