I anxiously awaited the release of the new Canyon and the first dealer that I could find one equipped was ***********. I had a good experience with ***** in sales, but the good vibes ended quickly when I had to deal with their service department. If you go to this dealership the service department is way in the back of the parking lot. Sadly, I learned the hard way that there is a definite disconnect between sales and service.I had electrical problems from day 1. On my second try to get the matter resolved the service advisor told me my dash caught on fire while the technicians were working on it and it would be 5 months before I got my truck back (supply chain and the fact that they would have to order a new dash). They furnished me a brand-new **C Terrain, which was a nice SUV. On my nearly 2-hour drive home my back was killing me. I am 6'3 and just didn't fit in the Terrain. So, the next morning I called my service advisor and told him I needed a bigger loaner car. He said he would check and two hours later he called me back and magically my truck was fixed. I questioned this profusely, but the adviser said he did not know. The electrical issues have been constant. I could live with no radio or heads up display but imagine driving with no speedometer or safety features. Or the truck revving a high RPM's on windy mountain roads. So key takeaways:1. Keep written documentation - you cannot count on them to document issues ay service appointments. When **S investigated my issues the were told the people involved no longer worked there.2. They don't answer the phone in the service department. You go straight to voicemail. After many tries, I was routed to an offshore call center. 3. Demand a loaner car for warranty work in writing spart of your sales contract. I was told the dealership no longer offered loaner cars. I have had 6 ** trucks, but Capitol beat the ** out of me. Cost me a bunch but I just traded for a ******* Everything works!
