In March, I reached out to Angie's List for some landscaping and home projects. They recommended a Bloomhouse Landscaping company. I called them and talked to ** ******. He was nice. I told him that I needed dirt and sod by the waters edge, and a privacy fence built. He came and gave a quote at my house and wrote up a contract for the work. I was to pay 60% up front and pay the rest upon job completion. He later came to the house with *****, the company owner/worker to get a more accurate depiction of the job. After speaking with both, I felt they were the right men for the job. The both appeared to be very cordial and professional. After my wife wrote a check (60% of the job) for just under $3,000, they cashed it and stated they would start work the next week after finishing up another project. After stalling and stalling for months (always some excuse was made with an apology), they finally had a load of dirt delivered, which the company dumped directly in my driveway. I called ***** and let him know the dirt was delivered, and he stated they would be there that afternoon to work. They never came. And I mean NEVER. I never saw from anyone again. I had to rent a Kubota to spread the dirt myself, AND had to pay the dump truck driver AFTER already paying a deposit. After constant calls and texts they seldom would repyl and when they did it was filled with excuses. All I asked was for my full deposit back. After months of excuses and lies, I have yet to see a penny of the deposit. Now they have changed their email, telephone number, and I have no way of contacting them other than through their office number. When I call the office, the same lady tells me that they are "out of the office" and will get back to me. Over and over. ***** even stated to me in text messages (back when he was answering me) that he was in the process of refunding my money...but I have never seen anything. He lied and said he sent the check, yet he cant provide proof. Complete criminal
