    My husband and I were in the process of moving into our house, we were approached by an employee of Safe Haven/ADT security services. He actually told us that he was an *** **** I told him that yes, we would like to look into this service, BUT that our internet would not be turned on at our new house until we completely move. He said oh, no problem! This was April 6, 2024. He sent a guy to our home on the 11th of April 2024. I told him that our internet would not be hooked up here until we moved completely, again no problem. We were told no charge until we get the internet hooked up. So, we let him hook it up, he stated that he would call me later in the month to see if it was turned on. We did not get it switched over until the end of MAY 2024, but everything was scattered because we were trying to move, they kept calling, texting etc. There was a total of 3 techs that showed up to hook everything up. Since the doorbell was connected without internet, there was no way to check it, but our actual doorbell was working before (we had 2) after he hooked up that one, the actual doorbell stopped working. He had been in the attic, broke some wires, then told me I needed to get an electrician to fix it. Although he was in our electrical panel, he couldn't hook up any new wire. Had to hire an electrician, $600.00 later, in SEPT last TECH had to hard wire the video doorbell to the panel. (READ THAT AGAIN) We were being charged for the service. Sept. 2025 that we had to change internet services due to them changing their services, ADT charged me $59.00 to come out stand on my sidewalk and connected my cameras. ADT wanted to charge me $130.00 to come out and $30.00 for every 15 minutes they were there. I was told to call them and let them know that it was working, and that I would be comped for the time it was offline, $9.00, for 7 days. I asked why I couldn't do that myself, since I connected everything in our home, CS told me that I needed help with this part. 2 cameras. $$$

    We signed up for ADT Security, however "Safe Haven Security" contracted with ADT came to our home. We were not aware of working with a third party company. Since May 15, 2025, the system has stopped functioning properly. We have contacted Safe Haven and ADT numerous times for cancellation, but each representative gave us a different explanation with no resolution. The system continues to malfunction, and we have made it explicitly clear that we no longer want the service.Despite that, Safe Haven refuses to cancel our contract unless we pay a 75% early termination fee even though they have failed to deliver the service we were promised. We have revoked access to our home and do not consent to any further technician visits.This is a clear breach of contract. We should not be held financially liable for a service that has not worked properly from the beginning. We are requesting cancellation without penalty and assurance that no additional billing or collection efforts will take ********** Haven continues to fall back on their contract while avoiding accountability. Representatives have attempted to justify the issues by blaming our Wi-Fi even though two of the four cameras function fine, while the others (along with the smoke detector) do not. We were also misled with promises of receiving $4,000 worth of "brand-new equipment" yet the system was faulty within one month of installation.Their product is unreliable, their service inconsistent, and their refusal to acknowledge the malfunction borders on deceptive business practices. We are simply asking to walk away from a broken service that never met the standards we were sold on.

    ADT and Safe Haven Security salespeople lied to about a product, customer service, and the option to cancel, and tricked me into signing a contract based on complete lies. During the 30 days cancelation period they completely avoided my attempts to cancel. Avoiding my phone calls and continuously transferring me, putting me on hold and keeping me hold for hours a day (If I had that much time). I first tried cancel almost immediately on one of the first days after partial installation of the system, when the smoke detector kept going off from cooking any little thing and the fire department showed up to my house answer the system's smoke distress call. A completely faulty system, only ever partially installed, absolutely no humanity in the customer service.
    After the 30 day cancelation period expired the began calling me demanding that I continue to pay and threatening to sue me on the grounds that I'm under contract. It is about a year later now and they actually are suing me. This a nightmare. I feel like im being downright scammed by a fraudulent contract.
