I purchased a 2013 VW Tiguan on May 8th and less than 3 days later the check engine light came on. I have documentation for May 11th when they were closed. It had turbo boost codes and will not pass emissions and this is thousands to repair. I left them messages and while driving it to the dealership on the 12th when they were open next I lost all power. It died in the middle of a busy road and I had to walk to the dealership. They "fixed" a belt on the car and said this was the issue. Days later engine light was back on with the same issue. They kept the car for days and then told me I had to pay for the repair. Then offered $500. When the repair is in the thousands. They have 0 integrity and are frauds. Rig cars up to get them barely off the lot and they break down. They know I'm a brain surgery survivor with a brain tumor and they took advantage of me intentionally. They stalled, they lied and said this is what you get when you purchase a used car. Literally the worst people. I initially just wanted the car fixed. I now want a full refund as these people clearly took advantage of someone in a vulnerable position. I have documentation of everything.

"We are truly sorry to hear about your health challenges and understand this has been a distressing experience. We take all feedback seriously, and it's important to clarify the facts for transparency.
This vehicle was sold explicitly "as is, no warranty," which was clearly communicated and documented at the time of your cash purchase. This means the buyer assumes responsibility for repairs after the sale.
Contrary to your statement that we "refuse to do the right thing," we "did offer multiple times to help". Specifically, we proposed splitting the cost of the necessary repairs to resolve the check engine light issue fairly. You declined this offer.
We absolutely did not take advantage of your medical situation. Our offers to help, including cost-sharing, were made in good faith. Accusations that we "rig cars," "lied," or "stole" are completely false. While the issues arose quickly (within 3 days), this does not change the legally binding "as is" agreement, nor does it negate our attempts to find a fair solution afterward, which you rejected.
We stand by our good-faith effort to share the repair costs despite the "as is" status. It is regrettable you declined our assistance and chose to post inaccurate claims instead.
We remain willing to discuss the original offer to split repair costs "offline." You have all our information, we been in contact with you since day one. Just to be Clear This vehicle did pass emission on 1/23/25.Thank you, we appreciate your business.

The buyer on this complaint is not stating all the facts, so I'll be happy to get those to anybody reading this. Customer purchased a vehicle 7/25 and I stayed over an hour and a half past closing time to assist in getting their loan done. Champ Motors did not hear about any issues regarding this vehicle till almost two weeks after it was purchased. We sell used vehicles and we sell all of our used vehicles "AS-IS" and this one was no exception. When someone purchases a vehicle from us we have them sign several forms stating that they understand that. We also sell extended warranties which this customer declined to purchase. Nearly two weeks later we were informed of an issue and offered to have the vehicle looked at by our mechanic. This customer had a very poor attitude and started verbally abusing and threatening the staff and the mechanic over the phone, because of this the mechanic declined to work on the vehicle and I asked them to stop contacting me. Since then we have been repeatedly harassed and threatened by the customer. I filed a police report with the ************************* because of the nonstop harassment  (CASE# **** *****) and will continue to take action if the harassment and threats continue. These folks are also not welcome on the property and will be ejected if they show up. We really did want to try to help with the issues after the sale, although they purchased this vehicle "AS-IS" however we aren't going to be subjected to abusive language and threats.
