Dear *** or Madam,On February 7, 2019, we purchased 50 floors for our home at *********************************************************************. Upon inspection of the floors with the installation supervisor, we questioned the supervisor about the transition between the kitchen/living room and the kitchen/dining room which should be seamless as with other areas between two rooms but the transition was high and require a transition stripand strips between the kitchen/living room and the kitchen/dining room. We were told by the "installation supervisor" that the subfloor to our kitchen, possibly, when the house was built, was raised and they did the best transition possible given how our kitchen subfloor was built. On May 31 2023, we had a leak in our kitchen sink that resulted in damage to the flooring around the sink. When the Water Mitigation took up some of the flooring around the sink to look for additional damage, we were shocked to see that the new flooring you installed was not installed properly. The laminate wood was installed over two layers of linoleum tile not the subfloor. We were applauded at the shoddy installation and deceitfulness of your installation team in not improperly installing our floors and want the floor reinstalled properly at no cost.We called 50 flooring to file a complaint. We were told that they would not reinstall the floor at no cost because we only had a one year warranty on installation. Also we were informed that the type of laminate flooring in our home was discontinued. This is a huge problem because not only was the particular type of floor installed in the kitchen but also in the living room, dining room, hall, laundry room, closets and bedroom in an open concept living area. Because of the discontinuation of the flooring we will need to change ALL of the flooring in our home. Currently, it is a safety hazard to have uneven flooring in our kitchen. We are requesting immediate correction of your error by replacing our flooring, at no cost, to the standard in which the floor should have been originally installed.I look forward to your positive response to this request.Sincerely,************************************************************************

I contacted 50 Floor to receive a quote for flooring for my kitchen/dinning room and master bedroom. Upon installation I was quoted by the installers the flooring could not be laid over the ************* flooring in the kitchen. So I decided to make changes and just do the family room small hallway and half bathroom. I received a new addendum from my sales rep *************************** on June 20th 2023 with my signature, however I never met or authorize ****** or anyone to sign my name on the addendum. I believe this is a fraudulent transaction. I have tried contacting ****************** to get more information as well as get an itemized invoice to verify price..

On 36-2023 my ***** Fargo credit card was charged $5,500.00. I never received the service period . I was told the gentleman cut his hand and no one else was available to the installment . Then I was told another gentleman was going to do the install . After another month of waiting and not getting any return calls , I was told this gentleman had 85% of body burned and had to go back home to ***************. Then last week I finally got a return call and I was told this particular 50 floor is going out of business . I looked it up and it has all ready been closed . Then I was told they wont be able do it period . I asked if my card was charged and he said no and if so when will I be repaid etc . He told me it was not charged . It most certainly was charged . I can take all of the misrepresentation etc , but I cant take not having it installed and wondering if I will ever get my money back. Im hoping 50 floors will reach out to me and give me a very timely solution .

Again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our accounting department directly at ************.

In October ***************************************************** my basement. When I met with the sales rep he informed me that this was high value berber carpet that would last for many years to come so I was extremely disappointed when I noticed the carpet beginning to snag and unravel after 6 months. In May 2022 while my carpet was under warranty I contacted the *************** location to inform them of my dissatisfaction with the carpet and also emailed pictures to the Administrative Assistant there. She directed me to contact the **************** where I left several messages for multiple people before I was able to receive any assistance regarding my carpet issues. In July 2022 I emailed more photos of the deteriorating carpet documenting the unraveling and snags to a Claims Analyst and **************** Representative at Corporate. I was informed that 50 floor was not responsible and my only recourse was to file a vendor claim. I filed a claim and an inspector from All Flooring Inspections came to my home and inspected the carpet. During the inspection he asked if I had the carpet cleaned since the installation. I informed him that the carpet had only been installed for 6 or 7 months and I did not have it cleaned. On July 2022 I was informed that the claim was denied and the analyst ruled that the damage either came from pets pulling at the carpet or a bad vacuum cleaner. As I told the inspector, I have never owned pets and a vacuum cleaner would not have caused that type of damage. The warranty excludes snags and pulling of loops, wrinkling, buckling matting etc. I feel disgusted and ripped off every time I look at the carpet. This company is dishonest with unfair business practices and places the blame on unsuspecting customers for their VERY poorly made products which they charge premium prices for.

      Dear Valued Client,
Thank you for providing the information. The 50 Floor management team completed an in-home inspection to assess the concerns. Unfortunately, 50 Floor has reached its limit on what other assistance can be offered since it is site related. We then filed a vendor claim and an inspection was completed by a certified 3rd party inspector; sadly, the claim was denied by the manufacturer which they have determined was a site-related issue. 50 Floor has offered to replace the carpet at material cost only and 50 Floor will absorb the labor cost.
      Respectfully,

I am rejecting this response because: This is unacceptable. I should not have to pay a second time for materials that I paid premium pricing for less than 2 years ago. You use deceptive and false advertisement to promote your products. Either the product that I received was defective or it is of very poor quality and I should not be penalized for it. There are many consumers with claims of a very similar nature against 50 Floor.  I believe a large number of people have been harmed by the actions of this company and I will be filing a class action lawsuit against 50 Floor.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

      Business Response

After completing an in-home inspection by a member of our management team and finding no indication of installation related concerns; a product claim was then opened with the vendor to assess the concerns by an independent third-party inspector which was completed and found site related issues.

We have attached the inspection report for your viewing.

As a customer courtesy, we have offered to replace the carpet at material cost only and 50 Floor will absorb the labor cost.

We are very apologetic you are unhappy with the resolution, but unfortunately,50 Floor has reached the limit of providing a solution.

      Thank you for your time.

      Dear Valued Consumer,
Thank you for providing your time and patience. In order, for the local 50 Floor office to complete and address your negative flooring concerns. We see your claim was denied by the manufacture; the cause was determined to be a site-related issue after a certified inspection by a 3rd party was completed. Since your installation warranty has expired and the manufacture has denied your claim, 50 Floor has offered to complete a replacement of your carpet at material cost only and 50 Floor will absorb the labor cost.

50 Floor does understand your concerns and are very sorry that you are not satisfied with the resolution; however, after careful review of your signed contractual agreement, we see 50 Floor has fulfilled its obligations as stated in the attached signed documents.

Just horrible ! Whoever they used to actually install the floors installed my floors incorrectly, and after a year I already have gaps in my flooring. I called and they sent someone out and all they did was glue the gaps together and Im still face with the same issue. Now theyre telling me that theyll need to rip up my floors to see if theres an issue with my sub flooring . They want me to agree to this without an actual estimate. so if I let them pull my floors up and the price is too high to repair, they will not reinstall the floors they pulled up. Mind you my house is brand new. Im sure during install they wouldve noticed something was wrong with my subfloors.. this is just a poor excuse in order to not fix the problem. *** emailed and called and have yet to receive a response from a manager which i requested. I just want my floors that I paid good money for fixed.

(Ticket # TI - BARSWNGQ) On 05.05.2023 I reached out to 50 Floor stating that we're experiencing problems (started occurring 6 to 8 weeks prior) with the Axis Cor Performance Flooring Vinyl plank floor that was installed in our kitchen (and other rooms on 12/20/2019 for $ ******; Purchase Order 01-140780). The flooring was micro spliced and cut to fit at the seams and sides. These small and thin pieces are now breaking up and have loosened out of the floor. The transition piece for the dining room and kitchen came right up one day. This has greatly impacted our family. The issue with the floor has created a safety hazard. From cutting bare feet, to tripping, and snagging on socks. The uneven walking surface has decreased the quality and value of the home.I sent pictures and requested an in person inspection as well as a repair at NO cost. My initial claim was denied stating that my installation warranty expired. I then requested that my claim be escaladed. The Assistant Manager stated that they could file a manufacturing claim with Axis Cor on my behalf. The manufacturing claim was denied on 06.22.2023 stating that damages are flared ends evident of a fractured locking system. Axis Cor noted that flared ends can occur due to subfloor issues, ****** aggressive engagement of the product, and installation of heavy cabinets or islands. We have the product in two other rooms and have had no such damages. In addition, the cabinets are original to the house and are the same cabinets the day the flooring was installed (home inspection and pictures available). Plus the flared ends damages are in traffic area. 50 Floor stated that they would repair the flooring at cost to me! If the flooring was not inspected in person and a damaging factor can not be identified I find it punitive to require me to pay again for a product and service that I have paid for. I have replied to 50 Floor requesting that my claim be escalated and submitted to the General Manager.

I had my carpet (Thin Ice color) installed over 1 year ago. I paid for gray vinyl transition pieces to match the Thin Ice carpet that were never installed. I've contacted several people at the office for 50 floor, in order to schedule the installation of the gray vinyl transition pieces. I still have yet to have this matter resolved. Please contact me to remedy this situation and schedule the proper installation. It's been over 1 year. Thank you.

In March 2023, a salesman came to my mothers house at my request to provide a quote for sheet vinyl for her laundry room and master bathroom. While he was here I asked for a quote for hardwood flooring for the bedroom ********. He provided both, then had both my mother and I complete a credit application on his iPad. She was approved, I was not, because I am not on the mortgage or deed. I said okay, maybe later. The salesman left and stated that he would continue to work on financing for me. April 5, 2023 the installers came with my flooring and hers. They completed the install of both floors. Approximately 2 weeks later I received certified mail from 50Floor threatening a lien on property I dont own unless I paid them $4637.66 immediately. I called the finance company the salesman had indicated would be handling the account once he got it straightened out. They had no information on me in their system.I then received a call from the salesman stating that I needed to go to my bank and get a loan, **** my vehicle title, ask my sisters for money, or whatever I had to do to pay them because he is a **** employee and if I dont pay it will be taken out of his pay and he cant afford to pay for my floors. In the first 2 weeks of May sometime I received a 2nd letter certified mail from 50Floor demanding payment. I followed up with the finance company again, they still had nothing on me in their system. On June 8, 2023 I made contact with ****************** again; they still have no record of me or my account in their system. Today, June 9th, 2023 I received a lien notice in the mail from 50Floor on the property where the installation was done, which I have no ownership in.

****************** signed a contract with 50 Floor on March 28th, 2023, with financing being sought if proof of ownership was provided, if not client is 100% responsible for the cost of the contract at time of installation. Work was completed in good standings by 50 Floor on April 5th, 2023. After unsuccessful attempts to collect payment, a lien was filed on the real property at the address of the contract and work completed.

Please note; once the balance has been satisfied in full the lien will be removed.

Please see the attached signed supporting documents.

I am rejecting this response because:

According to the Contract and Certificate of Completion both, I do not have a balance. Yet now you say I owe you money. This feels like a scam. Last Friday I received a call from the director of finance at your ******* Office and was in a meeting and couldnt talk to her. Ive been attempting to call since early Friday afternoon unsuccessfully.

Ive been watching your commercials on TV all weekend, and would like to offer this. If youll take 60% off as advertised all weekend, Ill give you a credit card number today. At that time this account will be paid and you will then remove the lien on my parents house.

I am now out of work, long-term disabled and have no income nor any prospects for income in the near future.

The amount you claim I owe despite the contract and COC indicating otherwise is $4637.66. I will provide a credit card number for  $1855.07, which is 40% and reflects your current 60% off special.

      Sincerely,

****************** is financially responsible for the contract signed and agreed upon on March 28th, 2023. Financing was not approved as ****************** was unable to provide proof of home ownership as requested. Work was completed in good standings on April 5th, 2023. 50 Floor has fulfilled its obligation as stated in the contract.

Please note once the balance has been satisfied in full the lien will be removed.
