    Ive had tankless water heater Serial number *********** for a little over (2) years. Ive had problems with this water heater and/or consistent hot water for the entire timeframe mentioned here. This is very sad while service technicians have been here (2) days in a row, still here while writing this complaint.Theyve told me this Rinnai water heater I have is a lemon. We spoke to a very nice service tech named ***** yesterday whom diagnosed the unit, overnighted the parts he said I needed while not having hot water that evening at all. Today, the techs with the nailed parts arrive 5-6 hours ago, still here after installing the parts that didnt fix the unit only to call Rinnai back and speak to a service tech that has zero business trying to help or answer phone calls from techs that told us good luck!The local techs told this Rinnai tech now, the recirculating pump isnt working and Rinnai tech stated the heat exchanger as he seen shouldnt be getting to nearly 200 degrees! It is and he said the unit needed re-flushing although this was just done 3/1/24. After flushing again per his recommendation, heat exchanger still 200 degrees, recirculating pump not working nor no hot water in the home. For all of Rinnais guessing affecting my wallet, not theirs I should be provided a new model brand Rinnai tankless water heater with their provided install and reimbursement for these wrongly guessed fixes by their own **************. Its again sad Im going to be without hot water yet again for my ********** all the while a major safety concern if I tried using thus unit while the heat exchanger is at the degree **** it is. Just unbelievable.

    I purchased my Lennar home November 2022 with a Rinnai tankless water heater. I have had intermittent issues with it since I moved in. Well this week 01/29/2024 it stopped working, throwing a code 12. Called the company ***************** to come out and repair. They troubleshooter with customer service ************************ and it has a faulty heat exchanger and gas valve. (When the unit turns on the pressure drops evidently, thus causing a burner issue). This was installed by a Rinnai Pro in my area. So now that my one year warranty is up this water heater fails and Im stuck with having to foot the bill for labor! The job was quoted to *********** hours and be $250 an hour. Seriously Rinnai? My problem is ITS BARELY A YEAR OLD from when I moved in and started using it and it stopped working!! So frustrating! Your 5 year warranty should encompass labor and parts. Period. It would be more cost effective to take the whole unit out and go with a completely different unit with how much Im being charged in labor. Ive spoken with your customer service, all they do is spout that the one year warranty is up and they can only cover the cost of parts. Ridiculous. Avoid Rinnai they have faulty products and dont stand by them, even when they fail. So disappointed.
