On November ******* I purchased a car from Auto Star, this is a buy here pay her lot. The finance company is ********** **. At the time I purchased the car I already had full coverage insurance. At the end of the sale i was required to have my insurance company send over a binder for proof of insurance. That information was sent showing that I have full coverage. The sales person at the dealership told me it was required that I also purchase there insurance in order for me to drive off. Now fast forward to today 12/19/2023, my car note was due. ******* from ********** told me and since this is the first payment I asked for a break down. While i was given the break down I was told that i was paying an additional $70 for insurance, I told ******* I already have insurance and would like to cancel this one. ******* stated it is NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE DEALERSHIP INSURANCE AS LONG AS I HAVE FULL COVERAGE!!! I called Auto Star with OK finance on the phone and again ******* stated the same thing this is not required. This is unethical and they are doing things to simply bring more money to there business which hurts customers and THEY LIED!!!!! Auto Star needs to pay the additional 70$ portion they lied to me about saying it was required when i already have full coverage!! This is a made up fee that goes directly to the owner. EMBEZELMENT!!!!!!!!
