These people are taking advantage of people especially minorities that they think do not know or understand the law. They will repo your vehicle even when you are not behind on payments. They will refuse your payment and tell you they need cash when you are able to make payments by debit/credit cards as well. The owner ************************** and is assistant/Office Manager **** will take your down payment, refuse to accept your payments which then forces a repo to take place, because they will act as if you are behind on your payment when you may actually not be. Please do not go here and if you have already keep ALL your receipts and paperwork, because they will lie and will not have a record of your made payments in their system. They are taking advantage of mostly Minorities because they want your money then take the car back even if you are NOT late or behind. Then they will try and keep your down payment and any payment they may have accepted then resale the car and make more money off the next buyer. They need to be stopped! They will cheat you, take your money then act as if you are behind on payments if you truly are not because they are not running a true upscale business. They don't even have the ability to accept payments via a website with login capabilities. Online payments are not a way to pay them. You have to call in a payment, or walk-in a payment. They will change up their story on you! Say one thing then they switch it up to something else. They have two locations do not buy from either place! They are the lowest of the low in car sales. They will also not talk to you and go over what they claim the issue is and will try to act as if you are a bother to them and will call the police even if you are not being rowdy or disrespectful. They just know you are seeing their scam tactics and have actual documentation to prove they are not posting all payments made and that you are figuring out what they are doing, so they call police to have you removed off lot

Update to this complaint. A civil suit was filed on Lake City Auto Sales in ******, **/*********, ** in October of 2023. ***** was held in ******* Magistrate ***** on April 9, 2024 and the judge found Lake City Auto Sales at fault for reposing my vehicle when I proved I was not past due. The judge granted a judgement against Lake City Auto Sales for $4100.00. They will be responsible for paying me back what I paid to purchase the vehicle that they unlawfully repossessed. The judge stated Lake City Auto Sales was negligent and will have to pay me for their actions.
