2 weeks ago my family and I put in an offer on a property at *************************** in *********, **. The owner/seller didnt have any offers on the table when we put in ours. We also expressed that we didnt have a lot of time left because we had to be out of our current home at a certain time. We waited the 3 business for a response. When we didnt get it our agent called and the seller said he was waiting on a mold test to come back. When the mold test came back the seller said he still wasnt ready to supply an answer because he was now waiting on a signature from a property THEY were looking to purchase. Once he got the signature we still didnt hear anything. A week later we got an alert that the property went under contract. We called our agent to find out whats going on and the seller tells our agent that a cash offer came in and they accepted in but keeping us as a back up just in case. We put in our offer first how are we now the backup. The seller made us wait for nothing when we could have used that time to look for other properties. Now we are in a position where we have to put all our things in storage and find a place to stay while looking for another property. The way this seller has done business is unethical and has put my family in a costly bind.
