      This issue is related to an imposter scan. I received a call from ***** ********************** indicating that someone from ******, ** was applying for a credit card in my name, etc. They verified some basic information, indicated that they would file a claim and cancel the application, then suggested that I speak with the ************************************ (CFPB) to add additional protections to prevent further identity theft. I was transferred to CFPB. A "***************************" (Fraud Protection Department, **********************) indicated that he would put in place additional security to prevent further misuse of my identity. He said he needed to verify which cards might have been involved, reading off a list of my credit cards, providing the total amounts for each. He then spoke to me about my "eligibility" for debt relief based on a federal "Fair Credit Act", providing a brief explanation of the programs benefits. He then transferred me to the *************************** (NDR) so I could learn more about this. At ***, I spoke with *** ***************************** (direct phone: ************). He provided some information about the program, stressing the benefits indicating that once the credit cards were closed, I would pay NDR directly. He asked for the security code for one of the cards and my mother's maiden name. At one point he indicated that the credit card company would be charged the fees for processing ($5,777.00; currently on my credit card) then he changed and said that it would be charged to my credit card, however, that this fee would be absorbed into the portion of the debt that would be forgiven. When I questioned him about this, he convinced me that I had misheard him. He further indicated that a ********************* would call me and then something about a ************************* contacting me (phone ************). He then hurried me through signing a "credit coaching sales agreement" which I didn't have time to read.

      Business Response

      To whom it may concern:

      Our system is totally free to the public and after reviewing our system we do not have any of the following named persons asssocaited with our FREE Program:

      *** *****************************, *********************, or *************************.

      This appears to be a scam of sorts in which we have no involvement.  Our progam system is free to the public www.creditcoachingsystem.com and we have all disclosures publicly visable for the public to see or review.  After reading this complaint it pains me that someone or group are using these sort of tactics to take advange of the public.  We built our system for the sole purpose of helping the public after building it in during my 23 years in the military.  I strongly belive that credit impprovement to the public should be free and we have never charged the public any money for free use of the system.

      Business owner are welcomed to use our system to help clients but again, they can not in any way charge a fee to the public and as previously stated that is also clear on our sites.

      Respectfully,

      ***********************;
