Masterpro removed flooring in my home in July of 2020 after flooding. Removal and mitigation was prompt. Replacing the floor, however, took more than 1.5 months, leaving my family to concrete slab while my wife underwent surgery and recovery from cancer. Shortly after the new floor was in, I realized that there were both visible and structural defects in the craftsmanship. I initiated contact with my project manager, who routinely ignored me or no-showed appointments, costing me both reputation and pay with my employer. I began an e-mail chain for documentation on November 17th, 2020, which was responded to December 17th, 2020. After communications with my project manager went dead, I contacted corporate and learned the employee was no longer with them. The previous owner of the company got in touch and, in July 2021, verbally agreed after visiting my home and evaluating it, to replace the entirety in light of the craftsmanship. The floor is untenable and coming apart, was made to be un-level by technicians, replacement materials subpar, and I still have excess material in my garage that was purchased and billed but never utilized. Insurance was billed for excess of $10,000 and I paid a deductible of $1,000. The previous owner did not respond to me trying to set up a time and plan. The last time they contacted me was July of 2021 and the last time I tried contacting them was ******* of 2022. I have contacted the company today - in August of 2022 - to try and have my home re-evaluated and if they will honor the commitments of the previous owner to fix repairs that should have been started years ago. They offered me the previous owner's phone number to see if he will fix it out of the kindness of his heart, insisting that because it has been so long, there's nothing they can do, and hung up Why didn't e-mails to dead addresses get forwarded? How can a company rope customers and defer ownership of work? The old company's phone number forwards to their new place.
