12/1/2023 I had an appointment with this office. At time of visit I paid my $25 copay and claim was filed and paid on 2/8/2024 for $208.63. On 6/29/2024 I received a $1271.92 bill from N/W ENT on 6/28/2024. I contacted **************** and was instructed to pay nothing until they reached out to NW/ENT to get additional information they would need to settle the claim. I was informed that *** was unable to reach N/W ENT, left messages, and never received the requested information. I tried twice to contact N/W ENT to try to get them to send the information *** needed . After leaving messages they never returned my call. On 11/15/24 I received notice and bill from ******- ***** debt collector for the $1271.92. I called UHC on 12/19/24 and was transferred to ***** a supervisor who called ******- ***** and advised an attorney that the claim was fully covered and I only was responsible for the $25 co-pay. On 2/8/25 I received an email from Experian that my credit score declined. Upon checking Experian I see that on 2/4/25 ******-***** has attached the claim to my credit report. This is all a result of N/W ENT failure to comply with ****************'s request for information needed to complete the claim. If they had supplied the acute information to UHC, this bill would not have been necessary.Initial Complaint

On 11/14/24, I attended my first and only appointment at Northwest ENT and Allergy Center - *************. Northwest ENT and Allergy Center was recommended by my primary care doctor. The appointment was to confirm a sinus infection and to get a prescription for antibiotics. In the exam room, before seeing a doctor, an assistant handed me an iPad consent form for a nasal endoscopy. As a new patient, and without a doctor present, I signed under the impression that an endoscopy was standard operating procedure for this practice and given to all patients as part of their routine exams. The doctor then entered, did the endoscopy, and prescribed antibiotics. When I received the bill in the mail, I was shocked by Northwest ENT's $595 endoscopy charge (before insurance). On 12/15/24, I talked to billing and they referred me to **** ***** (Practice Admin). On 12/19/24, I spoke with **** and told her her I was not properly advised before signing because the $595 price from Northwest ENT was not disclosed to me at the time of signing. Had I known their price, I would have declined. I also pointed out that I was a first-time patient, referred by my primary doctor, sitting in the exam room sick, and was led to believe this was part of this practice's standard exams. She said Dr. ********* **** had recommended it and that she could not remove the charge because the procedure was completed. How can a doctor recommend an endoscopy without ever seeing the patient? In 46 years, my previous doctors could diagnose a sinus infection and prescribe antibiotics without an endoscopy. I believe Northwest ENT has taken advantage of me, the customer. This is not an insurance issue - this is a Northwest ENT issue. I seek BBB's assistance in obtaining a billing adjustment. I have no problem paying the office visit fee, but will absolutely not stand for the exorbitant, ambush charge of $595. Northwest ENT did not conduct business with transparency or in good faith.Initial Complaint

My son had a tonsillectomy with NW ENT on 11/21/2024. They specifically offer on their website a cash, all inclusive price for their tonsillectomy of *******. It specifically states on their website it covers the surgery, the surgeon's fees, anesthesia, equipment, and lab work. I even paid 195 dollars for an office visit. I was charged ******** on 11/15/2024 and paid it and was told it was 3830 instead of 2800 because he needed his adenoids out. Everyone has an adenoidectomy with a tonsillectomy, nobody ever has one without the other so that is really false advertising. I paid the 3830 on 11/15/2024. Now I got a bill yesterday for ***** dollars for physician specialists in anesthesia for the anesthesia provider fee, not the anesthesia. I was literally told when I paid the 3830 that covered everything. Now they're trying to charge me another 1056 for the anesthesia provider fee when I'm already ***** dollars into what is listed on their website as a ******* surgery for those who have no insurance or high deductible insurance. I have tried to call ** ENT regarding this matter with no answer or no call back. Not only is it wrong for them to do this to me but its wrong for them to continue to advertise 2800 dollar tonsillectomy when they never just do a tonsillectomy when they do both a ******************************* for 3830 and charge an office fee of 195 dollars and then the anesthesia provider fee is another ***** dollars. Not to mention when my son woke up from surgery he was writhing in pain and had an IV still and they never gave him anything at all for pain. They should either have to honor the price they have listed on their website or remove it and stop advertising affordable surgery to people when they charge you more throughout the entire process.Initial Complaint

I received a bill that i didn't think I should have gotten (many months after the service), called numerous times (about every 2-4) about it, was told it was being "escalated" or "sent for review," etc. and never received any notification or update or further information. The bill was then sent to collections because of their inaction.Initial Complaint

I have been trying to pay a bill for 3 months. I've been told I need to use portal, when I went to portal I couldn't access the bill. I called back and was told they would research it. I waited for call back, none came. I received a letter from a collection agency, so I called Northwest ENT back, I was told they would research the problem and call me back. They did not. I received a call from a collection agency again about the bill. I called NW ENT back and was told sorry there's nothing we can do now. This is ridiculous. Each time I called I offered to pay the bill then and was told they couldn't take a payment over the phone. Now I have to pay a collection agency and hope that there aren't any negative credit reports about it. This exact cycle has been on repeat at least 5 times.Initial Complaint

I've been waiting weeks for a biopsy to find if I have CANCER?! They ghosted me. I've left messages and tried online and not even a callback! I wish I could *** for the pain they have cost me waiting in constant anxiety. The front office OBVIOUSLY doesn't care about their patients.
