      This is a 2016 ******* Accent. We initially gave him the car on December 3rd, 2024, due to issues with it, and had it towed to his shop. He informed us that the engine was locked and that we needed to send him money, stating the total cost for the engine would be $1,300. We sent him $800 on December 6th, but a few days later, he said the cost had increased to $1,800, so we sent him an additional $1,000. He also mentioned his labor fee would be $700.Despite paying him all this money, we had to constantly call and check on the car's status, and he repeatedly promised it would be ready "tomorrow." After two months of waiting, he finally installed the engine. However, the day after picking up the car, it wouldn't drive, and *** asked us to tow it back to his shop, which we did on January 9th, 2024. He then claimed the transmission was the issue, explaining that when an engine locks, it often affects the transmission, which he had never mentioned before.He said he would try to get a transmission from his friend for $250, but each time we called, he claimed his friend was in *******, and if we couldnt wait for his return (without giving us an estimated date), it would cost $600. After waiting over a month with no progress, he still didnt attempt to get or install a transmission. When we called again, he told us we could bring a transmission, and he would install it the next day. He said the installation would cost $200, with an additional $150 for fluids and a filter, which we provided, including a transmission. He promised to install it the next day after receiving the $150, but two days later, when we called and visited his shop, he refused to do the job for $200, claiming he couldnt leave his other higher-paying ******* of today, February 19th, 2025, nothing has been done to the car. I am in the **************, and I rely on my car for my monthly duties. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this situation.
