    On October 27, the business, Recon Tree Service, worked on my next-door neighbor's yard. The owner asked my husband if a truck could be parked in our driveway, and he said yes. But the business parked several vehicles including a mulcher in my driveway without permission, and proceeded to cut large trees in my next-door neighbor's yard and drag them through my yard to load onto the mulcher. When the owner asked my husband if he could park a truck in our driveway, he didn't ask if it would be OK to bring in a big mulching machine or inform him that the business intended to use our yard as the dumping ground for the trees that were cut. That afternoon, I went outside and told the workers that I didn't authorize my yard to be used as a dumping ground for my neighbor's trees that were cut. I also pointed out that we had just put down new sod just two and a half weeks prior and that I didn't want it damaged. One of the workers apologized and said the company would be willing to replace the visibly damaged sod. The next day, I called the owner to formally complain about the property damage; in addition to the sod damage, the workers also cracked a divider wall on my property. The owner said he would come out Sunday, Oct. 29, to put down fertilizer and turf builder and look at the wall. A week passes and I hear nothing from the owner. My calls to him are immediately hung up on. On Monday, Nov. 6, my regular landscaper comes and says the sod has been ruined and that fertilizing and turf builder will not be enough to fix it. At that point, I try calling the owner of Recon again. He says he can't talk but will call me back. As of this writing, I have not heard back from him. I'm filing this complaint because this business damaged my property and didn't do what it said it would do to make repairs. I also see other recent complaints against this company similar to mine and am filing this action so that other consumers will know to avoid this company as well.

    On July 22, 2023, **** provided his services to me. He was paid $3,500 in cash. Before starting the work, **** did a walk-through of my property and agreed to cut down all the trees for $6,000. This included removing the stumps, the trees, providing seeds for re-growth, and cleaning up the area. He even offered to remove the ground vine during the cleanup. On July 26th, **** contacted me requesting a meeting outside. During the meeting, he asked for additional funds to continue with the work, exceeding the agreed amount of $6,000. He said I had two options, either allow him to keep the $3,500 I had already paid him and walk away or give him more money to continue. I refused to pay more, and he stopped his workers in the middle of cutting my trees. Instead, he began working on the house next to mine without completing the job. He also did not remove the stumps or clean up the area. During his tree removal service, my metal box was crushed, and part of my fence was knocked down. He promised to replace the mailbox and repair the fence, but he has not done so. On August 1, 2023, **** sent me a text stating that he had a truck issue, but as soon as it was fixed, he would return to finish the cleanup and repair the fence. However, as of August 8, 2023, I have not received any communication from ****. I would like **** to repair my fence, install a new metal mailbox, and ensure that it is securely installed in the ground. I also want the stumps he promised to be removed, the area cleaned up, and the two trees that were partially cut down to be removed for safety reasons. I would appreciate a time frame for when the work will be completed. If **** is unable to install a new mailbox securely or fix the fence, I would like him to file a claim with his insurance company to have both items replaced.
