I was accidentally billed the wrong healthcare provider through a third-party billing company that processes the payments. Not recognizing the mistake I paid my bill online a month or so later I got a late payment from the actual health care facility that I went to stating that I did not pay the bill. Once I went back and looked it had Reagan medical instead of the healthcare provider that I had recently went to. Ive been trying to get this refund from Reagan Medical for three months now. Because Im not a patient of theirs Ive received no help due to this matter. *** reached out to the billing department multiple times and get that theyre going to take care of it but they never do. Sometimes the manager ******* even ignores/ hangs up my phone call. When I do get someone the phone they are very rude about the situation. Ive been told multiple times that the system is down, they cant transfer me to a manager, etc. I just want the refund back so I can pay the actual company that I went to.Initial Complaint

I was a client at Reagan Medical Center for many years. I went to Reagan Medical Center on 01/27/2021 for Covid Test. I provided my insurance before the appointment. I had BcBS at that time. Almost two years later, in 10/2022, I received a bill for Reagan Medical Center for almost $500.00 with the reason my ins was inactive, and the insurance did not pay for my visit, so I have to pay for the test. Covid test is provided for free every where at that time. It is ridiculous that I have to pay $500.00 for the test, so I called and talked to them. Turned out that they did not update my ins, they billed Ambetter instead of BCBS, and they did not contact me immediately when they knew the insurance was wrong. Plus I provided my ins before the visit. Now they told me that the bill is too old my insurance will not pay, so I have to responsible for it. ******* at ****************** told me that I could pay the self pay price for $150, but I had insurance at that time. It was unreasonable to pay selfpay price. I was so upset and request to talk to billing manager, ********. She did not accept that it was their fault but kept insist that I had to pay. She told me that she would give me some discounts and told me that they will discuss and reached out to me again. I waited several months, and I did not hear back from them. I tried to reach out to ******** many times and left messages, but ******** did not call me back. I am so disappointed at the billing department at Reagan Medical Center. They did not take any responsibility for their fault, but put the fault to the customer. What a terrible customer service. Will not recommend any one here again.Initial Complaint

On 7/12/22 I had a schedule visit with Dr. ********************* because I had noturia. I was called after 2 hours by the nurse / tech and she asked me some questions and took my urine sample. When the physician came to the room she appeared overwhelmed and told me that she could not see me because my issue involved a full physical and my appointment should not have been made at 5pm. To my surprise they charged me for a visit when they clearly knew that I was not seen. I telephone and spoke with the office manager and he said according to the notes the doctor saw me and taken my urine. I explained that the nurse / tech had taken my urine and the doctor saw me just to say that I needed to be seen during the day when she did complete physicals. He apologized but could not help me. I am requesting a full reimbursement as I did not receive care at all. My urinalysis cost $10 and I do agree that I should be responsible for that cost.Initial Complaint

I visited the doctor's ****** on January 11th, 2023. Based on my health insurance, the routinely checkup costs $0. Disregarding my insurance policy, the doctor's ****** charged me $292. After the visit, I called the financial department, and I was informed that the ****** would refund me after the payment from the insurance was received. My insurance sent the payment to the doctor's ****** on January 22nd, however, I have not received the payment of the refund yet. I have contacted the financial department several times. Every time I called, I was told that the refund would be issued as soon as next week. I finally got hold of the supervisor of the financial department on March 21st. He promised me that the check should be issued on 22nd, mailed out on 23rd, and received no later than 28th. I have got nothing. It has been almost 3 months since my insurance paid my visit. I need a legitimate explanation of why the refund has been held and I need my refund.Initial Complaint

On 1/25/2023 I received a statement from Reagan Medical Center in the amount of $1057.16. I contacted them at ************. Each time I spoke to someone I was told that someone would contact me in regard to this statement. The following is dates and who I spoke with.2/2/23 - ***** - I was told that I would receive a call back.2/9/2023 - ****************** was told that I would receive a call back.2/13/2023 - ****************** was told that I would receive a call back.2/16/2023 - ****************** was told that he would call me back with a correct total.3/2/2023 - Called and the line kept ringing with no one answering.I contacted my prior insurance company BCBSKC *********** Blue Shield of *********** and was told that I had made payment to the total of $960.88. The charges are from 4/6/2020 (I was told I had Covid at that time) thru 4/29/2022. They stated that I was sent statement/bills and never paid them. Each time I went to the facility, I asked, "what do I owe" and was told a figure or nothing. Each time I was told a figure, I paid it. Yesterday, I went onto the website to see if I had a balance, and there was NOTHING to show if I had a balance. Nervous that I would be sent to collections, I paid $100.00 on 2/13/2023. I am fed up with contacting the group and not getting anywhere. I do have the most recent statement if you need me to send that. I'm not sure how this place is still open. **************** is nonexistent. I made an appointment online for 2 MRIs. I wanted to make sure my doctor had sent in the orders for the MRIs so I kept calling, texting and emailing just to find this out. They finally call me back while I was working days later not 10 minutes like there so-called message claims. Along with calling they proceed to text me that they had not received the orders so they canceled my appointment without my say so and without allowing me the chance to get the orders. It turns out the orders HAD BEEN FAXED to the normal Reagan line instead of imaging so how they couldn't pass that information along is beyond me. Have not been able to reach anyone since even after having orders sent to the correct number. The cheap prices are not worth the lack of care provided at this location.Initial Complaint

Had a MRI done in July 2022, the insurance company needed more information, so I paid the $400 to have it done. I had left hand surgery September 21 2022, after recovery time, I filed a appeal with my **************** It was approved and was advised to contact ********************************* for refund, I called and was advised that they received the insurance payment. I asked why I wasn't notified and refunded my money ($400.)? Was the advised paperwork would be done and it would be 30 days. I called back in December and was advised nothing had been done. Agent advised he did it while I was on the phone and to call back after the New Year. Called back the 2nd or 3rd week and was told it would be another 30 days. I advised that is not exceptible and it needed to be expedited. Ask to give another 38 hours, I was sick didn't get a chance to call back until today. Agent said in process give it another week or two. I ask for a supervisor, laughed and said no one available. Claims it another team working on it and there was nothing that could be done. I have never had to go through this and I have been with this ************** for years. Very dissatisfied with the way the billing office is handling this matter and it is like they are stealing money. Something needs to be done about this billing *****Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I called last week and was advised that I would receive a check this week. Today is Friday February 3rd, still no check. I asked the agent 3 times when was the check sent out ? Couldn't answer that. I don't know who responded, but I have called 6 or 7 or more times about this issue. ***** Medical was paid months ago by ***** and my $400.00. This is unacceptable and very disappointing. Great Doctors but sorry billing dept.

This is regarding Account Number ****** for a PCR Covid test conducted on November 22, 2021. This was incorrectly submitted to my insurance company as an outpatient visit instead of a PCR test. My insurance company covers covid tests in their entirety. Please resubmit this claim as a PCR test or waive the $42.86 balance on my account. I have sent (8) faxes, left (5) voicemails, sent (1) letter and spoken to (1) associate who claimed they corrected this in the system yet I continue to get a bill claiming I owe $42.86 for this "outpatient visit".
