    Chasing Dreams Landscaping, specifically ***********************, has been my lawn care provider for at least a year prior to the incident that occurred on June 29th, 2022. On June 29th, **************** son cut my backyard using a riding lawnmower and obviously hit the aluminum fence, which resulted in damage to a couple of the posts. One post was severely bent and broken. When he finished cutting the yard, ************ brought the damage to my attention. He stated that he was not personally responsible but conceded that his son had cut our backyard and may have accidentally hit the fence. I told him the posts were not damaged before they cut the yard and no one else had been in our backyard that could have previously caused the damage. He apologized and said he would speak with his son.I stated I would contact my fencing company as well as other vendors to get some quotes to repair the fence. The least expensive quote was $350.00. I offered to send the various quotes to *********** and he said it was not necessary. I told *********** that I would like him to continue as our lawn care provider because he had done excellent work up to this point. He said he wanted to keep my business and assured me he would compensate me in full for the $350.00 repair. Since we decided to preserve our business relationship, I proposed he could provide lawn services in lieu of a cash payment until the $350.00 balance was satisfied. He agreed to these terms and came in mid July to cut the grass. As expected, he did not charge me the $50.00 fee that he normally would have charged for this service. This brought the balance to $300.00. We also agreed the next time he came, he would provide mulch and pine straw for my garden and backyard and apply the cost of the materials and installation to the balance. Unfortunately, *********** did not keep this promise. I made several attempts to contact him during the next four weeks to pinpoint the next date of service. Initially he responded, saying that the rain had delayed his return. On August 12th, I received his final text to inform me that his Mother had died but he made no mention of when he would be coming to service the yard. I tried to give *********** the benefit of the doubt considering he had recently lost his Mother; however, I realized by mid September, he regrettably had no intentions of returning to honor our agreement. He stopped responding to my text messages and refused to answer my phone calls. I don't think that *********** should be allowed to damage a client's property, agree to provide compensation and then refuse to honor that commitment. I paid ********************* $350.00 to repair the fence because I wanted my property restored to its previous condition. I can provide a receipt for this transaction if needed. Frankly, his business conduct was unethical and he should not be allowed to avoid accountability. I intend to collect the remaining balance that *********** owes me. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter.
