Stay far away from this company and their employees. I used them for property management for my property in Saint Marys and during their time of managing it, they neglected and trashed my property. Allowed mold to grow inside my home, let my 15K pool go to trash and have me pay for all of the repair to get it back up and running again, treated my tenants and blamed all the repairs and problems that were being brought up to them by the tenants and the contractors that I hired to maintain my pool and lawn, on myself which resulted in thousands of dollars to be spent from myself to get my property fixed and back to what it was before Wowza took management. The communication isn't there at all. They ghost you for even the smallest things and when you bring it to their attention they get very defensive and aggressive and blame it all on you. They let my property go unattended to and let some very damaging repairs to incur that I had to take care of myself due to them not doing their "monthly" drive bys and knowing that my tenant was deployed and not in the property, and honestly doing their job. Don't be gaslit by this company for your property management. Their kindness will mess you up and you will stress over your property more than you can ever imagine.

      Business response

I am not surprised by this complaint as it is word for word what she has put on google with a 1 star.  While I will not respond on google, a public forum, with the details as it is not professional, I most certainly am happy to address it here in bullet point format to ensure I cover each comment.

      - We did not neglect or trash the property.  First, we did not live in the property so there is no way we could trash her property.  Second, my property manager had been inside the home, as well as her husband when he visited the area, and no complaints were made at that time stating it was trashed.  Third, I myself was in the property to speak with the tenants when the property was being turned over.  It was not trashed.  Lived in yes, but not trashed.

-We did not allow mold to grow.  The tenants informed us there was a spot on the ceiling and my property manager immediately had a specialist go in and remove and treat the affected area.  This was due to a section of air conditioning ducting dripping water over time. This is simply maintenance and unfortunate.  Things break due to no fault of anyone.

-While there were issues with the pool, we recovered funds, which were dispursed to the owner, from the tenant who admitted fault.

-Condescending to the tenants?  This could be true.  My property manger can come off gruff.  However, I spoke with the tenants and they did not seem offended and did not indicate to me that there was any issue with how they were treated by my company.

-We never blamed the owner for needed repairs.  Things break and are generally no ones fault.  As I used to be an aircraft mechanic in the Navy, I am well versed in something breaking.  Why would we blame the owner for something breaking?  We also recovered funds from the tenants in another situation of over $1000 for something I am still not so sure was right.  The owner wanted us to recover additional funds to which I said no.

-We did not ghost the owner.  She may have had to wait for an answer but we always replied.  I have a string of text messages and emails to prove this point (along with several of the above matters)

-The property was left unattended by the tenants, not our company.  The tenants were all military and as this owner is well aware of OPSEC, or should be, our Navy tenants don't broadcast when they are on the move.  Once we were made aware of the fact they were all gone we went and checked on the exterior and interior of the property.

I do believe these are all the points Danielle Griggs made.  In the end I let her out of our contract, she did not ask, with no financial penalty agreeing that this was not a good fit for her.  We have many happy owners and tenants.  I am sorry this did not work out and am sorry she feels compelled to vent her frustrations.

      Respectfully,

      Tara McClintock, Broker/Owner, WOWza Realty

Again I am sorry that Danielle Griggs is so bitter and can’t move on. I understand there is nothing I can do to make her happy.

We do not lie and do not cover ourselves. I have always admitted fault if there is fault to admit, simply part of my upbringing and military service of integrity.

All keys were turned over to the new company. I initially turned over what I believed to be all the keys and a couple of days later the new company asked me about additional keys. We did have additional keys that had been set aside and I immediately turned them over.

There is nothing further I can do in this situation. I have been as polite as I know how to be and as the BBB can see from her rejection of my initial response with her cursing, should give the caliber of the person I have been trying my best to be courteous and move on from.

      Respectfully,

      Tara McClintock, Broker/Owner, WOWza Realty

I am rejecting this response because I am just wanting the company to stop making excuses and leave me alone. I wanted them to admit for their wrong doings but they since haven't.  Covering up their mess ups are just bad business.

      Regards,

      Danielle Griggs

I am currently renting a property from Wowza Realty. I have been in the current residents for 2 years in May. Rent paid every month on time. I recently got fed up with the condition of the property. The multiple repairs, the constant hiring of incompetent repair men. The having to schedule once again for a repairman, disrupting my schedule to be present, for the job not to be done properly. I can't even began to imagine what the homeowner must think of the negligence of the property manager hiring multiple repair men for the same job, Anyways it literally took 6 months to repair a leak in the roof, in the same place and 4 contractors to get the job done right. The final straw was my stove, a gas stove mind you. I waited 8 months for a gas stove knob, Wowza Realty suggestion in the mean time, was to use pliers to turn the knob. I agreed because I thought it would be ok while waiting. Then after a few mishaps of thinking the stove was off and it wasn't, and my kids not turning the stove off and it was on for hours, thinking I turned the knob did not catch and smelling gas. The more you turn the metal with pliers it was stripping the knob, which means it is BROKE. **** ** ******* seem to think this was a safe alternative and there was no need for a new stove. After I had it up to DONE. I told them there would be no rent this month, All of a sudden, I get a text, April 1st at 8:45 pm, a brand new stove will be delivered, oh yea after 8 months. Then **** informed me my lease will not be renewed because we are not a good fit. Rent on time every month, but I guess that's how you throw your weight around knowing the market. Normally, I would have gladly exited the property, but my husband was in a car accident, which I explained to Sherry. She was very much aware of the situation. So, retaliation for standing up for my rights, they decided to deny my renewing the lease, which I knew they would probably do, and schedule an eviction. I requested an abatement,

In my previous responses to this complaint I mentioned we have a process to follow. We will continue to follow the process to its conclusion. As of today rent still has not been paid and we have given an extra day for this tenant when we filed the 3 day demand for keys. If rent is not paid by 5:00 today we will file for eviction and end up in court. We have tried our best, to include allowing this tenant to move without penalty months ago. She chose to stay waiting on parts we had no control over.  I feel badly this situation has escalated to this degree. If there is to be a refund the judge will need to rule in her favor. At this time I do not find that is in order.

While I do not feel my response was false I understand everyone has their own interpretation.  As rent has not been paid as of this morning we will be proceeding with the eviction process.  At anytime the tenant could have reached out to me directly; simply call the office and ask to speak with the broker and at no time did this happen.  Therefore I rely on the information I was being given.  It i unfortunate we have come to this place in this situation however we are moving forward and we will likely end up in the court room where the judge will render all decisions at that time and it will be out of my hands.

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I not only called, but I went to the office th morning, the same day the above  emails were written. **** could careless what I had to say, I was told they would be in a meeting, before I could return she sent the email above. I don't have time to play games, I suggest before using this company, do your homework on Weichart Realty as well as Wowza,  the recent name change is Wowza but they were under Weichart. I have no reason to be dishonest, rent paid on time for 2 years, no complaints as a tenant. This all speaks volume as to the professionalism  of this establishment.
