I called to cancel an appointment made yesterday or the day before. I tried to contact sooner, had left a voicemail but no one returned my call so I basically acted as if I were setting up a new appointment so that I could get a live person on the phone. I let the lady know that I was going a different direction and did not need the services any longer. At first she said I would get my $99 refunded but then she said - oh wait we are unable to issue a refund because your appointment is less than 2 weeks out. The appointment was scheduled for 8/23 and I am cancelling on 8/12. I kept trying to tell her that I was not informed of this, if I were I would not have left the deposit. Remember, I literally just booked the appointment- it was within 2 weeks when I booked. I then tried to get around it and say, ok lets book it for 3 weeks out. She was willing to push it out no problem but then when I said ok push it out and then I will cancel. She said either way they are not giving me back my money. She was pretty rude almost the entire conversation, toward the end she wouldnt even let me speak. She kept trying to talk over me. I feel that I should get a refund in full as the appointment was just made!Business Response

13 major furniture pieces were damaged. New hardwood floors in our home scratched. They were supposed to store our items in a secure area in their warehouse so all that was needed was to reload what was there. Upon delivery we pointed out some things were not even ours. A china cabinet glass door was damaged, and we were verbally assured by Team Leader (including photos of the damage) that they were going to have someone locally contact us to replace the broken door. That night we noticed my great grandmothers 7 tall mirrored oak hall tree (circa 1897) was missing along with a beverage refrigerator and hand dolly. We called the Team captain about the missing furniture and he did say he remembered packing the item from our Ellijay home because it was so unique. We asked them to locate and deliver it. After ignoring subsequent calls and emails and having local sheriff go to their office to have someone call me almost a month later, response was we dont know where it is and havent seen it, sorry. Dozens of emails and phone messages ignored. We misplaced our signed on-site documents for the move and have requested them but they will not respond. Their policy is to not respond and hope you will go away. We have a box of items still with us that belong to another customer and they have failed to respond or acknowledge about what to do with someones elses possessions. They did not live up to their advertising promises. You can trust our teams to provide the utmost care handling your possessions and personal belongings Well treat your items like our own to ensure that your items arrive at your new home in exactly the same condition they were removed. Nobody handles moving better than we do, we promise to provide 100% satisfaction with every project...Were the long-distance residential moving company to keep your treasured items safe Don't use this business. Our move-in date was a few days before Christmas on the 19th of December. To say it was a disaster would not be a stretch. They took two men off the job and the job lasted till 2 AM and they still didnt finish That night. Their workers got tired and lazy. During the move the movers damaged multiple pieces of furniture, including dining room table, dining room chairs, desks, rips in the couch, outside concrete table was chipped ect. Damage to floor as a desked drug on floor. All the damages were captured by photo. We have been continuously reaching out to ******* ***** who the Office manager at the Jasper Location. She assured us in the beginning that they would be honoring The declaration Of valuation we chose for coverage. We have an email stating that from her as well. We sent her pictures of all the damage in and so far the only damages that were fixed were a floor that they scratched in the basement. They even used our own three boxes of flooring and have not reimbursed us for that either. We are looking for full reimbursement of all Damages to the all furniture damaged.Initial Complaint

I purchased insurance for my move on December 5th. I have been jerked around by the business manager, ******* ***** when it comes to the refund I am owed. They broke several of my items and ******* continues to give less than answers and is not forthcoming. I am owed at least over $200 and I have yet to receive my refund. Moving company did not bring all our items despite charging us an extra $2000 for a second truck. Also ruined many things. Have correspondence for over a month and nothing but excuses and no response unless we call. We are then told its this or that.Initial Complaint

I entered into a contract with College Hunks of Jasper, ** to move furniture only from **********, ** to *******, **, about 10 miles. *** estimate was about $3000 and based upon a crew of 4 for 6 hours. I accepted the estimate and paid a $100 deposit. Before arrival, I personally moved about 12 pieces of furniture and expected the time on-site to frankly be less. On the day of the move, the crew arrived at 930am as planned, except the truck was too tall/heavy for the entry bridge. ***y returned to Jasper for a smaller truck, delaying the start by 2.5 hrs and creating the need for 2 delivery trips. I called the office to complain and seek consideration for my inconvenience and was told that I was sharing in the cost of the delay, even though it was at no fault of my own. After I requested and given confirmation of my bill, the office manager hung up on me. Once the crew was done, I was presented a bill 15% higher, to include a CC charge (not indicated on the estimate or any other correspondence I could find). I signed the authorization reluctantly, though maybe I should not have. *** crew leader indicated he talked with the owner about my unhappiness and told me I would get a call in the am. *** following morning, the same office manager called to get my CC number for the charge. When I hesitated given my expectation of a call from the owner, I was told the owner told her to call me. After further discussion, the office manager indicated she would pass on my request for that call, which I have yet to receive. I want to be clear in conclusion this has nothing to do with the crew - they worked hard and were extremely courteous and helpful. This have everything to do with the billing and unprofessional conduct of management.
